    In classic trumpian fashion,

    The commander in chief cancelled military transportation for a congressional delegation headed by Pelosi going to Afghanistan over the weekend (congress is not in session until next tues), in an obvious tit for tat over her rescheduling of the SOTU until after the government is opened again.

    Apparently he considers a trip to a war zone a PR event. What a commander in chief.

    Given the media described his trip (with his wife) to the same war zone a PR event, it does seem sensible.

    No he went to Iraq. Which isn't a war zone. Or did I miss something?

    that as a PR event for him since he has no clue what being a commander in chief is really all about.

    Going to a war zone with a congressional delegation is definitely NOT a PR event.

    But I get how sensible trump actually is.

    I see national security and congressional oversight are useless missions. And Pelosi is anything but useless, much to your chagrin, which is why you are so dismissive of her.

    Iraq WAS a PR stunt it sure as hell wasn't a congressional delegation into a war zone. I wonder if you can actually discern the difference?

    I agree that the pos is useless, as is the other muslim pos (2).. in congress
    But Trump didnt cancel the trip, he said she could by go commercial if she wanted to....

    Visiting the troops in Afghanistan was important for sure, but that really wasn't the 'most important' part of the Condel. The military in charge in Afghanistan needs to be reassured that Congress is resolved that Trump will not abandon their mission as he did in Syria. More importantly was their planned trip to Brussels to the NATO conference. This was the reason that originally General Mattis' resignation was not supposed to be effective until February, after he had attended the NATO conference. He wholly intended to reassure our NATO partners that the U.S. will not pull out of NATO leaving the 28 nations that are part of NATO unprotected from Putin's aggression.

    Regarding Nancy Pelosi's request for Trump to cancel his State of the Union speech.
    I think Pelosi and the Democrats got exactly what they hoped to get out of Trump's response; to show how quickly he resorts to abusing his position of power by retaliating in this childish manner.

    Remember; this is still the individual with control over nuclear weapons.

    If these are the kind of ''buttons'' Trump pushes to play tit-for-tat games, imagine if he could get to the buttons that launch nuclear weapons...

    He's reckless and hateful. Sick. I had the personal satisfaction of plotting the strategy and leading the campaign to run a seven-member school board out of office in my town that was led by a Trump type. The entertainment was seeing people across the political spectrum happy the devils were gone.
