So - there are reports that Trump directed Cohen to commit a felony campaign finance violation and to commit perjury.

If those reports are true, it very much sounds like Trump would be guilty of conspiracy to commit those felonies, which would be a felony in itself.

My questions to Trump supporters: IF these reports are true - and Trump would (if he could be indicted) would be guilty of two felonies - would that be enough for you to stop supporting him?
Would it be enough for you to support impeaching him?

No doubt this is obstruction, and Mueller is aware of the details from multiple sources. Trump's legal peril just got substantially worse.

It looks like they have good evidence, including Trump organization witnesses and company emails. They've got him.

If if if if if if. You really have to hand it to that Source fella.

The chances that Trump directed Cohen to lie to congress are zero to none. Sorry, Source.

This report also noted that Cohen has trump organization emails and other evidence to corroborate this claim.

So far, the White House has not responded.

For many trump supporters if hard evidence of a felon was shown they would support impeachment. The problem is the left has been screaming "got him"! for about 2 years now without being able to prove everything. All we have is anonymous sources and many examples of left freakouts, but no hard proof.

so Buzzfeed is now as legit as CNN and other news story shows:) Since there is literally ZERO repercussions from saying anything false in the news now, I don't believe anything until multiple legit sources who name themselves actually agree it exists.

"unnamed sources" is code for, we just made **** up for clicks or ratings.

    Like what?

My hope is that buzzfeed is willing to share the name of their sources with another news agency or two, or that they are independently able to corroborate the report.

You reference something that I think supports a theory of mine regarding Republican support for trump, which is at obscenely high levels despite his overall approval ratings being one of the worst, on average, for any president in his first two years in US history (or at least since WWII).

I believe a significant percentage of Republicans started with a "hold my nose" support of Trump. And they had to spend so much mental energy defending trump so early and often (the ***** grabbing remark, the size of his inauguration on the first day in office, the size of the women's March and their justification for marching on the second day of office, the fact that he signed a Muslim ban without notifying DOJ while planes were in the air, the firing of James Comey out of the blue, etc.), that they reached a point mentally where it just became easier to fully support trump and to thus ignore or, more accurately, to mock anyone willing to criticize trump's latest scandal.

An alternative theory is that trump's all base, all the time strategy has created such a stranglehold on the Republican party that support for trump is almost a pre-requisite for membership. And thus, if still claim that you are a Republican, there is a ~85% chance that you support Trump.

Do you see any validity to those theories @Abqguardian ?

Possibly. My theory is more that the left have driven the right and some independents into supporting/defending trump by their completely crazy reaction to trump. I didnt vote for trump and personally dont like the guy. But ever since he was elected I've found myself defending him because the left has gone completely bat sh*t insane about anything trump. Trump can pick his nose and they see some form of collusion or obstruction of justice. It started with the left rioting in the streets, calls for Obama to enact martial law to keep out a legitimately elected president. It has now twisted into trump is some puppet for a country that is barely a regional power who "interfered" with Facebook ads. Its ridiculous. The left truly are their own worse enemies.

Interesting.....Unfortunately, I don't think this is something Cohen will be able to disclose in front of Congress since it's likely under the Mueller umbrella. Or is it? Is lying about the Russia investigation to Congress something Cohen cannot discuss?? It's not REALLY about the Russia investigation.

Dunno... My guess is he won't discuss this to be safe.

Still, again, Mark down 2/7/19 as what is likely to be the best Congressional testimony since Comey (or Strzok)...
