Does Mexico remit money to the US Treasury?

If not, Mexico is not paying for anything. American taxpayers would be paying, even if you are right about higher tax revenues.

If you don’t choose to understand Trump’s statement that Mexico would pay for the wall one way or another there’s nothing more I can do.

You're right, but there's more to it than that simple truth. Elected officials have to deal with policies & law-making attempts that have to reflect the reality on the ground, so to speak. That reality includes the fact that so many non-citizens actually DO live in the district, and that affects any actions considered or taken by officials. Ignoring their presence would create more problems than working with them where they are.

So again... the wall made it far more difficult and they got caught. Thanks for sharing that information.

You don't think that it is necessary to know where these 22 million people illegally in the US live ?? Why is it the responsibility of US taxpayers to pay for social services for those here illegally ??

The analogy, like most, require critical thinking.
It isn't necessary for Mexico to send money to the US Treasury for Mexico to pay for it.

I didn't see Trump's campaign website. Would you like to prove that claim?

Surely, if true, the Trump-Haters in the MSM would have been putting this on every news show they had. But we doubt it's true, don't we?

They want them here, they need the votes to keep getting elected. If they didn't cheat, they would lose all seats in government.

You seem to function under the delusion that all the non-citizens living here are on some sort of public welfare program. But that's simply not true. I suspect the percentage of them on some sort of public dole is probably 1-2%, if that.

I will be making a major announcement concerning the Humanitarian Crisis on our Southern Border, and the Shutdown, tomorrow afternoon at 3 P.M., live from the @WhiteHouse.

I was done being 'triggered' by the moron after Helsinki, when he behaved more disgracefully than I ever could have imagined.

It isn't that I don't understand the statement. I just don't believe it. Because there is no evidence for it.

You, on the other hand, seem to accept his statement without question. OK. You might believe it, but that doesn't make it true. I actually want to see how Mexico is paying.

You know - evidence. Not just the statement from a proven liar.

How does Mexico pay if they don't send money?

I'll see if I can find a link to Trump's website - or at least an archive version. The coward took it off his website as soon as it was clear that Mexico wouldn't pay.

Edit - I found the memo. This exact same wording appeared on his website before the election.

Plus all the actual illegal votes. I never imagined that anyone would oppose Trump’s program to scrub all the registered voter rolls in all the states. That was very very telling.

Read the section on trade and learn. You just made my case. Funny how TDS eliminates the capability to think rationally.

It’s absolutely true. Illegal immigrants cost US taxpayers a net ~ $120B annually according to fairus.org.

He talks about revenue from tariffs (except those aren't paid by Mexico, they are paid by Americans on imported goods) and the trade deficit. But the trade deficit with Mexico has increased over the last year, not decreased.

And no matter how much you try to say that increased growth and tax revenue in America is "making Mexico pay", it isn't. That's Americans paying. Absolutely zero flow of money from Mexico to the US Treasury.

If you can't understand simple concepts - or explain in your own words how money is flowing from Mexico into the US Treasury - there really is no hope for you.

Your own link proves you wrong. Mexico is providing the funding for the wall via trade concessions.

    Yes there are.

As long as they oppose border security and immigration reform, they are supporting an open border.

What he is talking about are trade concessions resulting in increased US economic growth.

It’s very clear who cannot understand economics.

Prove it. Show the mechanism whereby money flows from Mexico to the US Treasury.

    That's total nonsense.

The Trump demand is for biillions for some half assed piece of some wall in a location or locations not defined with a net affect that has not even been analyzed. And, it's being sold on emotion, not rationally.

There are NUMEROUS reasons for not letting that become the acceptable way to address issues of ANY KIND.

Beyond that, the 203 bill had FAR MORE dollars for the border, plus addressed the ways and reasons that these people are coming here. And, it passed the Democratic majority Senate and would have passed the House had Republican Speaker not prevented it from coming to a vote.

It's REPUBLICANS who are preventing adequate border protection.
