I didn't parse your words. I didn't say that is what you said.

In your heart of hearts, you know I'm right.

Nothing passed the house unanimously. Moreover just because the House passes something doesn’t mean it goes right to the senate floor, the senate has their own rules and passes its own bills...bills are then sent to commitee to compromise on both chambers legislation...then passed, and signed into law. There was a show called School House Rocks that had a song calle d “I’m just a bill” you can YouTube it and learn. It might be helpful

We already have walls along the border, the vast majority of illegal immigration is visa overstays, checkpoint crossings or dumps by ice.

We need border security and immigration reform not just a “wall” that will stop none of the above.

That’s like asking a pig why it likes mud.

It’s in their DNA: America sucks, everyone else is better.

Of course he was! He's been backed into a corner since he announced that he would be "proud to shut down the government and that he would own it". This stunt was all about 'showing America' his plan, thinking he could shame the dems. Thankfully, we have a speaker of the house with an iron will to stand up to a pathetic bundle of straw like Trump.

No there isn’t. He isn’t scared, he wants to compromise, she won’t.

This is an anonymous forum. You can come right out and say that you are all for the destruction of America.

His "base" (a group that comprises about 25% of America, and is exponentially overrepresented at this forum) has clearly lost any perspective of political reality.

At this point, they aren't even worth responding to.

If they want to continue to talk in circles while seeking the validation of the pro-Trump echo chamber, it means little to me (as long as they abide by the rules of the forum).

Besides, I find myself entertained by their constant comic relief.

The Shutdown is 100% on Trump. Period.

    Unanimous voice vote.
A process in which mitch is holding up. Why do you think he is doing that.

Try again, maybe without the condescension but I know that’s difficult for y’all

No. He wasn't. If it was truly up to the people, Trump would be sitting at home pouting.

So are Democrats afraid that they do not currently have enough Hispanic voters to ensure future elections?

I mean, they passed up a reasonable deal. Trump probably just pissed off a sizable portion of his base with this offer. Most of us don't want to grant citizenship or protections to dreamers.

I don't think this looks good for Democrats in the eyes of Hispanics either. So... good luck guys, with the stupid choices of your leadership.

How is trump compromising by demanding a wall must be included. If he switched the argument to items that would actually help the immigration issue (ie national everify, border surveillance, employer penalties, quicker deportations, visa monitoring, and so on) I would change to the republican side on this issue.

I absolutely think we need more bipartisanship, just like the bill passed by both chambers of congress

The vast majority of illegal immigration is visa overstays or at checkpoints.

    True.

But, it is what it is.

Trump obviously hates America and wants to make gov't employees (and their families) suffer for his childish game of chicken.

His election was obviously a horrific mistake.

Hispanics aren't about to jump on the Trump train even if he pushed DACA and Pelosi opposed it tooth and nail. However, I do think the proposed compromise is reasonable.
