Trump knows exactly where he is going with this.

Pelosi is in self preservation mode while at the same time she is destroying any hope for a Democratic presidential win in 2020.

Trump knows that he has 50 solid votes and Pence in the Senate for ANYTHING he negotiates.

I really wish you'd step back from the 24x7 rhetorical parade and analyze the idiocy of that last sentence... It's that sort of blind partisanship that will lose you the Senate and WH in 2020....

    We are paying attention.

We know about the humanitarian crisis.

Just this last week we learned that the number of children forably separated at the border was much higher than we were previously led to believe. And this is entirely the result of the actions of the Trump Administration.

But nothing is more telling in your post than your parroting of Trump's strategic retreat from "big beautiful wall", to "barriers at strategic locations".

    Yes, it will.

Mitt Romney did himself no favors in his quest to present himself as a resonable alternative to Trump when he voted with Trump last week.

He offered nothing but a pittance. Repackaged horseshit is not good faith negotiating.

Democrats are representing the majority of Americans who consistently concur in their dismal assessment of Trump, their opposition to his "big, beautiful wall" that a Republican-run Congress refused to fund for the past two years, and their acceptance of his being "proud" to shut down the government because he is still not being given the taxpayer's money for his unpopular scheme.

He cannot ignore public opinion and pander to his fanatical base. Even the most rabid of xenophobes become hysterical at his slightest, token concession to reality.
I hope the Democratic leadership makes a sincere counteroffer that represents the prevailing attitude of Americans regarding Trump, DACA, his wall, his shutdown, etc.

Was that the sanctions vote you are referring to? Yeah, that was interesting, as the Senate actually came close to breaking the Trump stranglehold on insanity.... The House was a loud voice against him...

The 11 defecting Senators are an interesting group...

    SNIP
The Republican senators who voted with Democrats were John Boozman of Arkansas; Susan Collins of Maine; Tom Cotton of Arkansas; Steve Daines of Montana; Cory Gardner of Colorado; Josh Hawley of Missouri; John Kennedy of Louisiana; Martha McSally of Arizona; Jerry Moran of Kansas; Marco Rubio of Florida; and Ben Sasse of Nebraska.
    ENDSNIP

Some that will struggle mightily to retain their seats in 2020 (Collins, Gardner), some VERY hard right cons (Cotton, Moran, Boozman), some newbies (McSally and Hawley) and some middle guys I watch for occasional bolts of logic and backbone (Rubio, Sasse)... But you are 100% correct that Mitt probably should have been in that group.... Mistake early on...

He heads one of three branches of government.
    He's supposed to be determined.
    That's why he was elected.

I wonder how you would feel if someone told you that in three years you’ll probably be kicked out of your home.

Wow were you conned . No he can’t just declare a state of emergency when it isn’t an emergency. There are checks and balances that would still not allow it. Maybe if they raise your taxes to pay for it you might not be such a big shot. He was already offered a deal on what unanimously In congress but Ann Coulter told him not to do it. Didn’t you say Mexico was going to pay for the wall? lie ..Didn’t you say it was an emergency even though illegal immigration is declining year after year? Another lie but he can always count on his base who are easily manipulated by fear and don’t bother to check facts and learn that drugs don’t come in through the southern wall

She’s scaring the crap out of trump! Who is deserting the ranks? Perhaps if you read a legitimate news source you would see that many Republicans are not supporting his ridiculous wall

Please do me a favor and stop projecting your mean-spirited and lack of empathy for the DACA kids. I know it is hard for you to believe but there are people that truly care about children who came here as infants and are productive citizens. And number two, there are things that work that don’t cost billions and billions...you’re being manipulated by fear....trump knows his base. How come Mexico isn’t paying for the wall? I bet you actually believed that

    Wsh-casting.

The president cancelled his own trip to Davos and required other similar travel on military airplanes be made only at the approval of the secretary of defense until there is a budget he can sign that provides for a secure border barrier.

Nothing could have better revealed the speaker’s callous disregard for the unpaid government workers who vote overwhelmingly Democrat or for the others whose lives have been disrupted by the shutdown and the inadequate security at our southern border.

When did he ask for 25 billion? And he didn’t throw in daca...he just gave them a little more time.Hardly the same thing
Let’s say it was true that he asked for 25 billion that means that is what he estimates the waltz the cost where is it going to get the other 20 billion? Obviously you don’t care about the deficit in the debts that this country has even though Trump said he would get rid of the deficit while it is increasing over $1 trillion

There is "zero information on why a wall wont work" because walls work.
