https://www.news.com.au/entertainme...am-estate/news-story/ad6af58d24298e2b18c74f76 Phew.... What a relief the old fart wasnt injured.....no doubt he wont be charged with anything... He's lucky he didnt kill someone.... He's 97 ffs....Why is he still driving....oh sorry I forgot......he's a Prince..... Im so happy that he's received a new, replacement vehicle so soon... Get back behind the wheel, you old fool....go on.... I wonder if the old fartess on the throne still drives... Care for a spot of tea old chap....perhaps a gin and tonic....what.....good show old chap..... All the news emphasizes how notorious the road is...not a word about the old fools negligence.....
I say, I say......did anyone see meerkat Meghan roll her eyes the other day whilst at the opera with Harry.. ....as if thats bloody news...... If anyone needs a nose job its her..........looks like a ski jump....I suppose she cant afford it....... Why do we make such a fuss over the Royals...why arent we a republic... Its 2019.....whats the delay...... Geez Im on a roll today...... Lets hope Intuition can win the last in Melbourne.....
I generally try to avoid any news about the royals... Philip shouldn't be driving, he has no one to blame but himself... not as if he couldn't afford a driver.
I would like to examine a point here. IT was all over the media from the moment it happened. Australian media straight out of the box, royal crash. BUT almost 24hrs later did they say another car was involved. Hours later did they say the royal carriage was T-boned and hours still till they even made reference to the fact the royal carriage did anything wrong. Now, I have to ask, Is this something of the royalists in the nation??? Or is this reporting just media trying to find the popular ground??? I would suggest this is the most out their demonstration of media taint on a story in attempt to sway the public. Not a republican bash, just media...
Gary from what I've seen when it comes to international news the Australian media just spits out whatever the press releases say and rarely do any checking of their own. They are easily manipulated by propaganda from other governments
Every UK source I googled pointed out that there were two vehicles involved. Still nothing from any source mentioning his negligence.. The civilian in the vehicle which the Prince hit still has not been contacted by the Royals in any way, either to apologize, or even to enquire about the other drivers health...even though the palace has released a contradicting statement....heaven forbid if anyone uses the "n" word...... I wonder if anything else transpires...eg fake injury from the peons....might be worth a few bob...probably why a palace representative hasnt contacted them....legal admission of liability....hhhmmm...
Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to search, and frankly wasn't too interested. I was pounded by news reports all day about this accident in the order I said. I just wonder if the media has alternate agenda or is it just incompetence. Either way, Australian media needs to take a good look at itself. The Clear political bias, incompetence of sources and deliberate misleading of the Australian people. I was just wondering if others were looking at the media in this situation. Because frankly the happenings of the royal family interest me as much as the malicious gossip the haters live on…
I dont really care about what the royal family does. But it's not unusual for some elderly folk to have a prang and refuse to see that it's time to stop driving. It isn't unique to prince phillip. My dads getting to that stage where hes a danger on the road but flies into a rage when we tell him buying a motorhome is a terrible idea. It's because many people see driving as an independence thing and at a time when they're losing a lot of their independence I understand why They cling to driving. I'll have a problem with the Prince Phillip prang if he's treated any differently than anyone else who's being investigated after a prang. That woman complaining that he hasn't rung her to apologise? She needs to realise that there's rarely apologies after smashes like that I never got one after mine and I never got to go on telly and get paid for complaining about it.
So the royals dont have to apologise, because theyre the royals...I would have thought an apology would be a PR thing......dont talk rubbish about other accidents...this is the royals, and because theyre the royals, there has to be a special rule, and that is, they do as they please, and if the old fart was negligent, nothing will happen... We cant charge the royals with anything now can we... BTW, the driver he hit has asked for him to be charged....I know where that request will finish up... What would your attitude be if he killed someone...oh the poor old man needs his independence..... gimme a break.....
On a busy road like that was/is, it's hardly surprising that an overturning Range Rover might collide with another vehicle is it?
Well, that is the point isn't. I know nothing of the road and other than the fact they reported the accident happened on a road I had no idea what had happened. It could have been a single vehicle accident or something else. The point I am raising is the fact it took so long to report it in media while racing to report the incident occurred.
Well, I do wonder about that type of motive. I also question in Australia that it was some sort of republic/monarchist motive to see where the popularity lays. It was a long time to be sitting on the story waiting to find out how to report it... To me it is salacious media actions. I do have to point out, that others heard in a slightly faster timeframe but still delayed as far as I can tell.
My concern is that all the time he keeps writing off top-spec Range Rovers, my taxes will keep buying him new ones to write off!
Yeah, my wife pointed out how fast he got a new one. Fact is he had it before there was any suggestion he was in the wrong, here in Australia.
Just as insane as ever; but I'm orf for walkies in a minute so you'll have to catch up via Google News.
