I don't know why. It is cheaper. The crap we used to get most of the time was sometimes even moldy. We didn't care. Honestly we didn't know the difference back then between Indica or Sativa. I don't think I would know now unless it was a really weak like hemp with only a trace of THC. I could tell if a guy said it was Maui-Wowy or Acapulco gold but I found most of what was supposed to be the good stuff way too strong. I didn't enjoy getting stoned on one hit.
Knowing what am I taking is what makes it work. If I'm having a panic attack, and take Sativa, my panic attack will get worse.
Thank God the baby survived the marijuana toxins. The mother needs to be locked up. These things will become more common with pot legalization, and the "pot is harmless" propaganda. Doctors to Assumption deputies: Child's seizures caused by woman who smoked pot, breast-fed infant https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/article_d1a26e6c-1ffb-11e9-992b-e3912c348b3c.html PIERRE PART — An Assumption Parish mother who authorities say had smoked marijuana and later breast-fed her infant has been arrested after the baby experienced seizures, deputies said Thursday. Doctors told deputies that they believed the woman's use of marijuana before breast-feeding led to the seizures, said Lonny Cavalier, spokesman for the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office. The child, who had been taken to an area hospital Sunday, tested positive for marijuana.
Horrible parents are horrible. Who has suggested that pot is harmless? Zero people. It's simply more helpful than harmful. Horrible parents also leave their guns lying around. Stories all the time about kids shooting other kids because they found mom & dad's gun. Want to ban guns because there are idiotic adults?
An open mind might ask if suspecting something is a cause is proof that it is the cause. I might give this some credibility if evidence existed that MJ causes seizures.
Alcohol: Has an LD 50 (ie a point at which consumption will kill you) and turns into formaldehyde in your brain. Cannabinoids: have no LD 50, and are processed more closely to food than a poison. They bind to fat cells, they're passed out through your fecal matter mostly etc. You know exactly what I mean by isn't technically a poison. You can't OD on it, the effects are incredibly mild and it doesn't have long term detrimental health effects like say cirrhosis of the liver. Sugar is more akin to poison ffs.
You must not read well. The cop made that comment. I am still waiting on the evidence that MJ causes seizures.
And can you tell the class how these "random" tests are administered? Again: Why would you hide something that's legal? No need to be prepared to fox a test. You realize they make synthetic urine, 5 hours masks, and all sorts of other fun and interesting things for JUST THAT PURPOSE? You can buy them in ANY smoke shop. Many of them have 24/7 365 help lines with instructions and a money back guarantee ffs. Why do you think that industry exists? Many aren't firing for it strict compliance like they used to. They keep the result on file and then if you're negligent they accuse you of being intoxicated and fob the liability off on you. Actually works out pretty well for businesses.
Actually insurance companies and the Federal Government are behind most of the testing. Federal guidelines require testing in safety sensitive jobs. Insurance companies, adjust rates for companies that test in efforts to reduce injuries at work. Many companies regard cigarette smoking the same way. Many corporations will not hire anyone who smokes because it skews their insurance.
That is the main impetus, yes. Not the only game in town anymore however. Take tobacco smoking for instance: Colorado has a "smoker's bill of rights" barring such discrimination in "lawful" activities off campus. So far case law has defined "lawful" as state and federal legal, so pot isn't covered. However, the trend in the industry in rec legal states is away from punishment for pot as much as they are allowed IE if they aren't in an industry where the feds look over their shoulders.
I am not that knowledgeable concerning pot use at work. As a manager, I would not tolerate it. Of course, I was a hard a$$. I would not hire cigarette smokers either. I found they spent 20 minutes out of every hour standing on a street corner smoking a cig.
The doctors made the assessment, but wait as long as you want. Having your head buried in the sand makes a comfortable wait.
Why would a bus driver hide the fact that he is drunk? Alcohol is legal, but it does not mean your employer can't fire you for being under the influence (or any other reason).
I see you have a reading comprehension problem. The article says a police spokesperson said...... Since you have a problem let me help. The reporter heard from the spokesperson, who heard from the cop, who said he heard from the doctor. So in essence you have it 4th hand. Now I know that no cop ever lied, no doctor ever made a mistake, a police spokesperson would never cover for a cop, no reporter ever embellished a story, and there is no evidence that MJ causes seizures. However, the not to bright will run with a 4th hand story with no collaborating evidence as a fact. Some may buy this as gospel but anyone with a brain may want a little more evidence.
Its childishly simple to determine that with a gaze nystagmus test. If you're high then your eyes wont track smoothly. Vertical for weed, horizontal for alcohol.
I am sorry you are having such a hard time with this. Many employers fire people who test positive for drugs. Period. The degree of their intoxication is irrelevant.
I don't know what the court "listing" doctors has to do with anything. However, this has not been to court. She has only been charged. A second year law student could get this case dropped. No evidence of malice, no evidence that the MJ came from the mother, no evidence that MJ causes seizures. Just a lot of speculation and leaps to judgement.
