Nor have I ever suggested the keep such a list. I’ve repeatedly stated all private individuals be made to have a log, like FFL’s do.
The problem is that leftists tend to congregate in large population centers like New York and Los Angeles.... out of an apparent distaste for individuality and personal freedom. As the Founders recognized, turning the US into a democracy, instead of maintaining ourselves as a Republic, would be detrimental to liberty. Hence their decision to embrace the idea of a Republican electoral system that maintained the ability of lower population states, inevitably more protective of individual liberties, to still have a voice in national elections. Just because there are more sheep in the herd doesn't make them right.
‘Trip’? Nothing I said wasn’t factual, nor parinoia driven. The source exists to to build a database. Data entry can be accomplished using existing scanning and OCR technology... faster than one might think possible. I have managed large data conversion projects using the same technology. That said, OCR tech isn’t perfect, meaning without good QC, there would be errors. India has a considerable number of conversion firms that do this work, have for a couple decades, for both private companies and smaller units of government at relatively low cost. But, if Hillary was elected I am sure she would have advocated Congress consider it, particularly since she lost what she figures she should have learned and it would be a step for her campaign and the leftist media branch of the Dem party to identify opposition. I say, Hillary for president in 2020... or Warren.
I suppose I must be as I don't see how mathematics enters into this discussion at all. Could you explain?
Your actual situations are rarer than lightning strike deaths and other environmental hazards. If you're afraid to go outside because of shooters, you are not paying attention to the risks of just being outside.
Are you not aware of the laws being passed in state after state making specific guns and magazines illegal? Do you not think that one day when the tide shifts towards the left that "they" will come knocking?
Well, with the ideas of some anti-gun folks in national government and the way some states are passing laws making firearms and accessories illegal, how do you see things playing out? What do you see as the ultimate goal of the hard-line gun control advocates?
And how should we treat them. Mine are essentially toys. My wife and I each have a pistol for carrying and I have a long gun for home defense. Other than that all my guns are recreational. You are avoiding answering my question at post #691 though.
I was saying a couple posts back that my guns are essentially toys. I guess that is just a figure of speech. My wife refers to them that way and most of my guns are for recreation. I am safe with them but they are mostly for fun. Maybe not the best way to refer to them when talking with the un-gun crowd.
Most people who own them. Dangerous toys but toys nonetheless, things to have fun with, very few treat them as tools, things to do work with
