The blogger in the below article questions which nation Trump works for, the USA or Israel?

Said blogger discusses recent statements made by Trump on his pullout from Syria (US troops have been reinforced not reduced and arms flows to Al Tanf are much higher following Trump's order to pullout US forces) and concludes:

"So, We are staying in Iraq to keep an eye on Iran and we are doing this to protect Israel."

He adds: "So much for America first."

Tellingly, Trump revealed in a recent interview:

    "We have to protect Israel."

    That's their boy speaking...

The writer of the below blog, a former US Special Forces soldier, favoured (from his comments?) Trump at the last election, but clearly now has doubts.

A more detailed story on the Al Tanf reverse withdrawal of US troops from Syria HERE.

One has to ask in the light of the foregoing if the president has any real presidential power anymore?

36.67 million people are programmed to yell ANTISEMITE at the slightest mention of Israel in any kind of negative light, I do hope they're not all members here.

In this instance, though, I'll defer to the wise, or wizened, trumpkin rebel yell "He tells it like it is." Given time he'll be agitating for genocide against the Palestinians. I mean openly.

I’m no fan of Trump but I think it’s unfair to make this about him and I don’t think the situation can really be said to be against the concept of “America First” (in intent if not outcome).

Successive US government have long supported Israel in all sorts of ways and I don’t see Trump being especially pro-Israel beyond this general theme. The idea from the US point of view seems to be about the benefit of having a political, economic and military foothold in the Middle East. The situation clearly benefits Israel too (arguably maintaining its very existence) hence the long established friendly relationships between the two nations at government and business levels. That doesn’t automatically mean it’s an undue influence, though that is certainly possible in some cases in both directions (there seems to be a lot more talk about Israel influencing US policy but very little about the inevitable influence of the US on Israeli policy).

Even Trump in his most dimwitted moments must have clearly understood what some of his most influential backers required of him in exchange for their backing. Then there is THIS.

Trump's problem is standing for America First and then making it clear that in foreign policy nothing has changed; it remain's Israel First.

The Israelis are bright, clean, modern, ambitious and inventive

The pslestinians are none of those things

But for some crazy reason liberals want help the Arabs defeat the Jews

That makes no sense at all

The problem with your irrational argument is that it dissolves under the obvious absurdity of its opposing proposition:

All Conservatives support Israel killing Arabs.

    They don't.

There is no margin for error with Israel

They are facing impossible odds against their survival as a nation

If they have to kill or be killed they must do it

It makes sense. Hitler was a liberal and had really close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood.

    So did Obama.

I think Netanyahu and Trump came to an "agreement" but it's more of a push policy than a pull policy. By that I mean Netanyahu worked/pushed hard for the results he got and the results are Israel being the biggest beneficiary of the Trump Administration foreign policy... so far.

Netanyahu also hoodwinked Kushner into running around saying he's going to strike the Peace deal of the century... of course after the Embassy move to Jerusalem the penny must have finally dropped for Kushner that he has been played

The last president to have a doctrine was Bush and both Obama and Trump still follow it.

The Bush Doctrine refers to various related foreign policy principles of the 43rd President of the United States, George W. Bush. These principles include unilateralism and the use of preventative war.

Mmmm. Colour me very cynical about this overflowing toilet of a justification argument. Apologia-R-U.

400 ready to go nukes and the will to use them (they almost did once) combined with a host of inhuman actions taken by Israel suggest a state where international law and standard human ethics have long been absent.

Israel has had many opportunities to seek peace with its neighbours and Arab residents. But it has chosen to adhere to extreme violence and perennial bully-boy tactics instead. Creating designer tensions is its adopted policy.

For example, refusing to discuss handing back lands taken in battle and then building Israeli settlements on those lands, stealing water from the Golan, treating Arabs who work and/or live in Israel as third class people, shooting children and cynically killing (murdering) protestors, attacking and bombing neighbouring states. The list goes on and on.

    Reap what you sow...

Israel would be insane to surrender land to people who want to destroy their country

The arabs swore death to Isreal in 1948 and invaded the Jewish state from 4 directions

Over time some of the arab countries have come to their senses but not all of them

Did Trump say how many troops he is leaving in Iraq to defend Israel? Is he aware than Iraq does not have a border with Israel?
