No real surprises here other than what many have considered to be the case is now out in the open with the Wikileaks publication of the US Special Forces "coup manual", designated "Field Manual (FM) 3-05.130 (HERE). https://www.mintpressnews.com/leake...-world-bank-as-unconventional-weapons/254708/
I could have told you that. The Greeks knew that their debts was not sustainable and didn't want to accept the IMF loans, so Washington invited the top reporters to a seminar to teach them how to convince the public. Many of the elderly and poor died from lack of medicine and even suicide over these 7 years, and yet had they declared bankruptcy they could have been out of debt in 2 years like Iceland. Instead Brussels and the IMF destroyed the country. In order to get away with what they were doing, they had started this mass propaganda about the Greeks being lazy, even though they worked more hours than in any EU country. The wealthier Greeks got off scot free of course, while the poorer Greeks were made to carry the burden of paying off the banks without ever seeing any of the IMF money. All of it went back to paying off loans and the rest in buying arms from Germany. The head of the IMF Strauss-Kahn was ready to fly to Greece the next day to help them when he was framed with a sexual assault charge in NYC - no doubt by the big financiers and aided and abetted by Sarkozy and Washington. Yanukovich for all his faults, refused to have Ukraine join the EU so as not to burden the people with loans so Washington had a coup. The IMF didn't care how much the oligarchs in Ukraine stole, since it facilitated them in controlling Ukraine like they did Russia in the 90's when billions were being stolen and shipped out of the country while the people starved. Now Putin's Russia is freaking them out because its reserves now exceeds their debt and they are not at Washington's mercy. Good!
I wonder how special forces soldiers would feel if they knew they are merely pawns for the big bankers. I read something interesting the other day... the Federal Reserve System is unconstitutional
I am certain that the disgrace and unseating of Dominic Strauss-Kahn of the IMF was subjected to dirty tricks too.
I have reflected on the same question. My conclusion is that serving members of SF's learn quickly to adopt the military version of group-think or are booted out as unsuitable in the selection phase. They may begin to see reality during their years of service but keep their lips buttoned. Retired and former SF however, are far more insightful and vocal and very often are outspoken in their detestation of the current political captives in Washington and London.
On this continuing theme the below: https://grayzoneproject.com/2019/02...n-guaido-neoliberal-capitalist-shock-therapy/
I can believe he did it, but don't doubt that these types of things can go on. Anyway, I think we can question that the real motives behind the IMF were helping people, or "stability".
Absolutely NOT helping people or stability imo. Unless you're an angel in Ganster's Paradise that is.
Strauss Kahn was acquitted of all charges, but it disgraced him and he couldn't run for president of France. It was a set up, and that's how Washington works. They will lie, defame, kill etc., as long as they get what they want. When the truth comes out it doesn't matter knowing the MSM will keep it low key and well hidden. Stability by indebting nations and taking away social services from the most vulnerable, so that foreign nations can buy up their assets? I don't think so!
Leaked Wikileaks Doc Reveals US Military Use of IMF, World Bank as “Unconventional” Weapons Major Duh - Uh What genius finally figured out the obvious? Yet, Cuba was too stubborn to succumb. Russia too large. Syria too resolute. When it didn't work on Venezuela, diplomatic muscle was added undermining the gov't. Can military intervention be far off? Meanwhile, consider all the misery such warfare creates on plain, working people. Moi
