    You definitely have NO knowledge on taxes. If your tax liability increased at 125K with two children (w-2 earnings), then you made more money. Your standard deduction doubled as did your child credit. If you made the exact same as the prior year, you would've paid less taxes.

    And I think you're telling white lies to cover your own ignorance. You have ZERO idea what you paid in total tax, you even said you were just going by the refund your "CPA" told you. You're equating getting a lower refund to paying more in taxes. Please stop making yourself look foolish.

    There is no "benefit" to a family. It just shifts the burden to the kids to pay the interest on the money Trump borrows to finance his tax cut. There is no free lunch - why do conservatives always ignore their own mantra when it comes to tax cuts?

    Most of the middle class doesn itemize. Most of the middle class doesn't pay $10,000 in property taxes and only the amount above that is no longer deductible. ALL of the middle class got a nice tax rate deduction. ALL the middle class that does not itemize got a huge increase in the standard deduction.

    This was a tax aimed at that top 10% that you guys say aren paying their fair share. But because it is a Trump thing you will oppose it. Just amazing.

    yeah, they thought its great misstating their dependants on their w4 to get a 'big' return, better to claim maximum dependants allowable for minimum withholdings, then bank the money yourself, settle up in april, heck if you're keen enough place it in a 6 month investment & take the extension till october, pay the penalty & still come out ahead...

    I paid a little more in taxes as well, but my AGI was about 20K higher also. By the leftist logic, can I throw a fit that my refund was a little less than the previous year?

    Ignorance really isn't bliss.
