Again, that is ONE definition that was sandwiched between the two common definitions. That one definition still doesn't trump the other two and therefore I'm still correct to say that racism doesn't require power to be considered racism.

You become so petty as to insult my intelligence then I'll become petty by pointing out your typo.

    See above.

Quote a specific example. I never apologized for being black. I just disagree with your ideology that blacks are perpetual victims. There's a difference.

White guilt is when someone feels a false sense of shame for being a certain race..... it is phony.

Maybe White Americans feel guilty about being overtaken by non-whites in income and education. Not sure how that works, but it must be true!

This is not based in, logic, since White people have the largest salaries and the highest worth and the most assets in America. And yes It still tickles me, pink, reading you delude to claims that White Indians & White Asians are not White people who achieve success mainly for that reason.

Did you know that black Africans with less curly hair, are actually white? Crazy I know .. but apparently whiteness is measured by hair texture. My neighbour's freckled ginger kid with the afro is going to have to deal a ton of racism and white oppression. And that purple-black South Indian guy with the straight hair? He's white, *******mit, so he can just shut up.

uh no, Whiteness within the social context of America's racial hierarchy, is measured primarily by skin color. And secondarily by hair texture.

    Nope. I'm stating the exact, same ironclad facts I have stated for weeks here;

If there was an iota of any truth to that, then I'm home free as a racially repressed, unprotected minority. No more white guilt for me!

Your bizarre parameters for persecution (hair texture, etc) are necessary for you to maintain your championing of a very specific sub-culture of browndom are they're fun watch - but you know it's the world's flimsiest house of cards, right? It takes barely a breath to wobble that thing catastrophically.

Meantime, here's a friendly tip: If you insist we're hopeless and/or helpless, you're the enemy.

Oh It is 100% truth, forevermore, as the one thing your rant here cannot EVER override is how America has always been about lighter skin = more success. No matter what Race you are. And 90% of the time, the most-privileged citizens, will have the most Eurasian/northern-European/Ashkenazim-Israeli physical features. At least, regarding skin-color and hair texture.

So if you look northern-European in, 2019, then yes you are home free as a racially-privileged, protected minority.

Don't go Ad Hominem on me. Just, disprove me.

Prove that what we all, clearly see, is not really what we clearly see and I'm just joshing everybody. Show the top1000 most successful-Asians in America. I challenge you.

    LOL.

We know you won't do it, because you know that I knew that you know they'll look just like northern-Europeans to us, if they were to undress and cover up their eyes.

    And oh yey, btw...

Did you happen to notice how from 1972-2004 only darkskin Blacks ran for U.S. President and none recvd more than 3% of the vote?.... Half-White man/lightskinned Obama ran in 2008. I think he got more than 3% of the vote, eh? Including U.S. Senate Majority leader, I repeat, U.S. Senate Majority leader Harry Reid said he voted for Obama because he's lightskin. Fact check it.

Now, combine that with 2019 and how it appears only lightskin Blacks (Kamala and Cory) think that they have any chance in 2020 election.

And oh yey, you can call me the enemy all day, I don't care bc you still can not change the facts. So here's some more those factual. chunks of meats, to strengthen that titanium-coated house of cards I built for this thread:

The Skin Color Paradox and the American Racial Order

    ABSTRACT

Dark-skinned Blacks in the United States have lower socioeconomic status, more punitive relationships with the criminal justice system, diminished prestige, and less likelihood of holding elective office compared with their lighter counterparts. This phenomenon of “colorism” both occurs within the African American community and is expressed by outsiders, and most Blacks are aware of it. Nevertheless, Blacks’ perceptions of discrimination, belief that their fates are linked, or attachment to their race almost never vary by skin color. We identify this disparity between treatment and political attitudes as “the skin color paradox,” and use it as a window into the politics of race in the United States over the past half-century.

Using national surveys, we explain the skin color paradox as follows: Blacks’ commitment to racial identity overrides the potential for skin color discrimination to have political significance. That is, because most Blacks see the fight against racial hierarchy as requiring their primary allegiance, they do not see or do not choose to express concern about the internal hierarchy of skin tone. Thus dark-skinned Blacks’ widespread experience of harm has no political outlet— which generates the skin color paradox.

The article concludes by asking how much concern the skin color paradox really warrants. Without fully resolving that question, we note that policies designed to solve the problem of racial hierarchy are not helpful to and may even make worse the problem of skin color hierarchy within the Black population.

Send correspondence to the first author (Jennifer Hochschild, Hochschild@gov.harvard.edu). We are grateful to Traci Burch, Ian Haney-Lopez, David Hollinger, Robert Lieberman, Keith Maddox, Melissa Nobles, and Jim Sidanius for comments on this manuscript or its earlier incarnations.

What is really crucial behind the color point is class; the implication that light color goes with higher status and the Negroid appearance with lower status, is what makes these characteristics so important.
    (Davis, A. et al. 1946): 137

So I sit here as a light skin Black woman and I sit here to tell you that I am Black. That people who are my color in this country will always be treated as Black…. We who are Black have got to say ‘look, we are people of color, and we are readily identified. Any discrimination against one of us is discrimination against another.’
    --Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, 1997

Well-to-do, fair-skinned kids in the neighborhood weren’t allowed to play with him and they regularly taunted him about his color, Jones says.... “That’s been a dominant force in my life. Having lived through those experiences gave me the desire to fight for the disadvantaged.”

Edit by me to respond to the post accordingly.

Well, I have light skin, but excessively curly, very dark hair (as do all my siblings).... with high probability that one of my ancestors was a Black Creole.

What does that make me? An equal human. Not privileged, not repressed, not owed a damn material thing in this life that my butt hasn't worked for.

Your rhetoric holds no water, but a verbose attempt to make people believe they owe other people something because they exist.

You can come here to make that claim, all day, and it will still be meaningless. Plus what you call my rhetoric, makes you look dishonest here. Since you can clearly see here, that I did not post my rhetoric. I posted the rhetoric of a brilliant Caucasian scholar who is a Harvard Univ. professor. Yes a professor who used far, far more valid resources than you and more valuable time than you, to perfect a study which lays out how much this nation hates darkskin humans.

The sooner you stop kidding yourself about your lovely, White Privilege, will be the sooner you comprehend what this nation plans for your future.

I did not quote what you copied from another source, for a reason. I quoted what YOU said, and called it as it is... rhetoric. Perhaps that is why you were not able to separate the two.

Tell me something, exactly what is it you expect of people that you paint with this 'white privilege' brush of yours? To cower in horror ad empty their wallets at the feet of other people? Exactly what is it you expect? Because to tell the truth, there is no visible purpose, so it must be to make people believe there is something intrinsically wrong with them. People have already acknowledged that slavery was wrong, but I'm doubting there are any slave owners currently breathing. To make current people feel some sort of guilt for something they didn't do, don't support now, but are considered guilty just for being born?

You have a very long road ahead of you if that is your plan. And I doubt very many willing victims.

Well then I guess it's very good that you cannot separate, the truth, no matter how hard you try to pull that in here.

And the efficient, reputable, ironclad scholarship I posted from the Harvard Univ scholar, does verify that.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Each person, painted their ownselves, at the very moment each intentionally benefitted from White Privilege.

Okay. Realizing that you are intrinsically wrong, is where any of your real good "change" must start from. Always.

Oh and of course People have already acknowledged that slavery was wrong, that is not the issue here. You see, the issue here is to make current White people accept reality ((but it's your choice to call it "feel some sort of guilt")) for something we did do, I repeat, we did do every morning we currently we wake up; take advantage of the year 2019's White Privilege, which Slavery gifted us with.

Well, you pretty much sunk yourself with the exclamation of Ohhhh, Harvard. But if you put all your weight on a single source, then I guess you got what you bought.

You believe people are intrinsically wrong. That doesn't mean it's the truth. Because someone exists, does not make them good, evil, right or wrong. It's what they do as a human that forms what they are, not your judgement.

Additionally, you use the word intentionally. Think about that. And suddenly, a light bulb may go on, that you, you yourself, have just admitted that a person cannot be intrinsically wrong, if they have not pursued the 'benefit' of 'white privilege' intentionally.

I'll throw you a life preserver, because I'm a decent human.

No life preserver needed for, me, as I will continue to safely float along upon the many, many ironclad proofs and evidence I have posted for weeks here :) oh but feel free to pretend that this one single source is now I've ever posted all of a sudden. This source is multi-faceted like all of my others/solidifies all of the stances which I have validated for weeks.

The fight against White supremacy of yesterday morphed into the fight against White privilege of today.

This is what happens when you win a fight (and get tens of trillions of dollars in "reparations") and still want more.

And the only people that have to work for it are the race-baiting activistsstrawmen who are arming the sheep with a meaningless cause.

    The student was right.

    huh??

You might have this thread, gravely mistaken, for a discussion about Native Americans ---who hath received reparations in the form of Indian Reservation Casinos. Yes casinos which have raked in hundreds of billions of $$$ since the mid-90s.

Feel free to provide a link to any reparations given to, Black citizens, which is even closely-equivalent to Indian Reservation Casinos

Yes indeed the student was 100% right within the minds of those who feel that any diminishing of our White Privilege is, Racism, yes sir insanity's reverse discrimination here on the Homeland. Where deranged humans claim that only us White citizens made this nation great.

    Johnsons "Great Society".

    27 TRILLION and counting.

And that doesn't even include schools and infrastructure funding.

That may be your claim but not mine.

    Ignorant claim indeed.
