    You mean Reagan time.
Because like the Trump run, one of the crowd stood out.
Not Of The Swamp in either case.

    Or did you mean Trump?

    2016
Bipartisan, people demonstrated they wanted out of the Swamp. Trump/Sanders.
Maybe an outstanding Democratic Party Governor will stand out.
Or a general. Or successful business person.

Who in the field of Democratic Party candidates would remain if we removed
Senators, Congressman, recycled Biden. Senator Bernie gets a pass ;)
because he is Independent but, caucuses with the Democrats in the Senate.

    (about as 'Democratic-e' as Sanders)
He's the only 'progressive' / 'leftist' out there with a positive message.

The extent of the 'panties in a bunch' tantrum that the Dem candidates have thrown, is a great indication of how threatened they are by him; beating them soundly on the issues, lol.

    @Sahba*
Didn't the party change its' candidacy rules requiring
    declared Democrats only.
Bernie would have to become a declared Democrat
to run as the candidate from the Democratic Party.
    No longer an Independent.

BTW I like the expression he's the only Progressive etc.
    with a positive message. Agree.
I was Bernie First, Trump Second. Just Anti Swamp.

I couldn't care less who they run. But I think Sanders, Warren and Biden (and Clinton!) are considered old fogies and Dems want someone shiny and new, especially since the party is so heavy on the young. So that leaves O'Rourke, Harris, Gillebrand (at least she seems young even though she isn't) and Booker. Gillebrand is too white, Booker is too male, O'Rourke is too both. So that leaves Harris, who is just right. My money is on Kamala Harris as the Dem candidate.

Same unless Michelle runs. If she did then she would win hands down. Hell if I was Trump and she announced I would just not run for a second term. Declare victory and ride off into the sunset in his helicopter.

Thanks a lot 'Crawdadr', now I'm going to have nightmares tonight, lol. If Moochella can get away with platitudinous appeals and deflect from her sparse 'real world' experience in management / independent accomplishments (like her husband did) she's got a shot at swaying the sea of uninformed voters out there... Als that really maters, after all, is gender & skin color.

Biden is right. A shotgun is the best defensive weapon for the home. I guess you don't know much about guns. ;)

I know enough not to make absolutist statements regarding which 'tool' is the most efficacious for all applications within the home. :)

For example, my parents have a 2nd home in the country on 200 acres, they feel best served with a light 16" AR-15 chambered in 458 SOCOM w/ reloaded, reduced loads that are heavy & hard hitting without penetrating through 1/2 the house (mom can handle the recoil too). Horses are around the house often & were the need arise to not only shoot a 2 legged predator in the hallway but a 4 legged one at a 100 yards, buck shot / slugs aren't the the most versatile lol. Of course, having a stack of hi-cap mags & all the flexibility and accessories of the AR platform is a + as well. (ok yeh, they have shotguns too, lol)

I keep a small apartment in the city where I only spend a few months out of the year. In that application I prefer A reloaded, reduced load .45acp in PX4 storm (rotating barrel) w/ 10rd. mags

The only absolutist statement I'm willing to hazard re. firearms is; 'it's better to have one & not need it than need it & not have it', lol.

I may just do that 'Moi621'... Anything to encourage others, esp. women to get out there and become familiar with firearms... We are the ones most in need of a 'force equalizer'! Just saying, I like to think that I have ninja skills but I'm also the size of a junior high boy, lol.

Even ONE serious Primary challenger (that could get about 30%) would be a great way to strip the bark off of Trump (to weaken him going into November)

ROTFL, AJ... Y'all got a lot more to worry about w/ Schultz & Bernie as Independents... Yes, I dunno if FL is going to recognize Socialist Bernie as a Dem on their ballot... ( just saying)

I'm predicting that Elizabeth Warren is going to drop out before the Iowa Caucuses on Feb 3. Just curious as to what other 'top tier' Dem Candidates, that are currently talking about / declared as running for POTUS, will also be out 10.5 mo. from now... What think U?

    Check Out
Andrew Yang 2020 thread in Current Events.
Beto is a loser. No thread
the altRight seems to support Yang although why they support an Asian, ? ? ?

Yang seems to also speak to many who felt the Bern.

Only Sanders can guarantee all the Hillary Stares of 2016
and dent the red middle to win.

    Sanders / Yang 2020 :hmm:

Aren't these spate of candidate platforms - circumcision, aborting babies outside of the womb & reparations for all... O so compelling though, lol...

(As Ingraham succinctly put it... 'the best thing Trump has going for him in 2020 is the economy & the Democrats' )

There is no such thing as an abortion when outside of the womb that is infanticide and it is not allowed nor will it ever be...

Sanders is a loser for Dems, the man is a lifetime avowed Communist and can't win a general election. He would poison any ticket he was on. I expect one of the women to get the nod but Beto runs hard and came much closer than he had any right to in Texas.
