Trump to declare National emergency for Wall

A destructive hurricane in Florida or Puerto Rico is a national emergency. A tornado in Kansas that kills dozens is a national emergency. A wildfire that burns hundreds of homes in California is a national emergency. But a border which is experiencing the lowest number of illegals crossing in 5 decades, is NOT an emergency. This blind subservience toward Trump is a growing concern for those of us who love America & what it USED to stand for.

 

Innocent American citizens are being murdered by illegal alien criminals every day in America

That qualifies as an emergency to me because I dont get Secret Service protection 24/7

Nope. If Trump does it successfully, it will be much easier for future presidents to declare national emergencies in order to pursue legislative objectives.

If Trump does this, it will set a precedent. If Trump tries and fails, that will also set a precedent.

The precident was set 42 times since 1976 by previous presidents

 

Not for pursuing legislative objectives that Congress rejected.
