The New York Times also dropped a bomb on Trump yesterday when they discussed the in-depth two year long attempt by Trump to obstruct any and all investigations through intimidation, pressure and humiliation.

This type of journalism - of holding the powerful accountable - is the reason that Trump just declared the New York Times a "true enemy of the people."

You can review all 1100 times that Trump attacked the Russia investigation (and the times he has defended Putin/Russia the most) from the New York Times at this location: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive.../trump-attacks-obstruction-investigation.html

LOL quoting NYT and Huffpo in the same post. Too bad none of these pretend 'charges' are indictable... you might have a point. :roflol:

How much you want to bet that Trump has already been indicted, under seal, for a felony violation of campaign finance laws? Enjoy that point.

Trump has been in office for two years. The associates around him and his administration have racked up 90 indictments. Enjoy that point too.

Link to that indictment, please. Otherwise it only exists in your mind.

How much you want to bet that Ovomit (who holds the record) has already been indicted, under seal, for a felony violation of campaign finance laws? Enjoy that point.

Trump has attacked that investigation so often because he's constantly bombarded with it.

Why does anyone find this surprising?

It's like being shocked how many times FDR defended his New Deal plan.

Well duh, its what everyone was talking about.

6 years since his last campaign? Can you say "statute of limitations?"

But sure, I'll take that bet. You want to take mine?

If Trump is so totally innocent - as he has declared many, many times - does he work so damn hard to influence, obfuscate and obstruct these federal investigations?

The reason that Trump's attacks are not shocking is because his strategy has been plain from day one.

Publicly cast the Russia story as an overblown hoax while privately trying to contain the reach of the investigation.

    Well no kidding.

That would be a standard defense for any politician accused of something and under investigation.

What in the world would you expect him to do differently?

You say this like it's something shocking when it's normal behavior for anyone.

Clinton did the same exact thing.

And Trump is not trying to contain the investigation in any way whatsoever, that is just a liberal lie.

"Just a liberal lie." That is a worthless and pathetic defense.

But let me ask you something: Why has Putin and Russia earned the most instances of defense by Trump?

Because Trump is being accused of it constantly.

    Try this out.

Quit saying he's working for Putin and Trump will probably stop defending him.

This isn't really rocket science here.

Yeah, I see Trump defending Putin so much.
Pulling out of a Nuke treaty that the Russians violated for the last five years.
The Trump Admin just levied more sanction on the Russians three days ago.
    https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2019/02/17/europe/russia-sanctions-kremlin-intl/index.html
Trump sold offensive weaponry to Ukraine,
Went after Russia’s long time Allie Assad, and continues to poke around in his backyard to this day. The Trump admin is going after Russia’s ally in Venezuela as well.

Dude this Putin puppet meme is won out nonsense already. Try something else more grounded in reality.

Why does being (supposedly falsely) accused of working for someone necessitate that you defend that person...?

This is based on trump's own words.

But to your point, much (if not most) of the sanctions imposed on Russia by the Trump administration were forced upon him by Congress.

And then some of your points - like withdrawing from the Nuke treaty - was a gift to Russia, not a punishment.

Forced? One he never had to sign them, or enforce them...face it, the facts aren’t matching up to realty. Haven’t we been through this sort of thing on the last thread you started

Stop spewing simplistic talking points that make no sense at all, it’s embarrassing.

Pulling out of a nuclear treaty that puts limitations on your own arsenal is a gift to the co-signer of that same treaty who’s already been violating that very same treaty is a gift to Russia. That’s dumb. You didn’t think about that at all, did you?

Obama “being more flexible” and turning a blind eye to Putin’s violation was a gift to russia

Oh I absolutely thought about it and I am not the only one to reach that assessment.

The treaty imposes penalties and limitations upon the testing - especially when someone is violating the treaty. Removing the treaty altogether eliminates those penalties and limitations.

That article was published three weeks ago. Do you want some more examples?

Trump administration holds off on new Russia sanctions, despite law

Won’t don’t you grasp about the fact that the Russians have already been violating this very treaty for the last five years?
