You know the GOP legislature controls the laws in those states....dont you?

 

Whoever is in control, laws that are on the books are enforced. Sentencing laws, parole procedures, etc, etc. Those laws don't get rewritten every time power changes hands. Stop spewing garbage.

 

The GOP is in charge in those states sometimes for a decade or longer. Face it....it is on them.


Prison costs too much

 

Nonsense. There may be a few who would like to see a country-wide ban on guns, but they are far and few between.

 

And yet they are not being denounced by those who support firearm-related restrictions.

 

A few years back in Washington state a man war released from prison after serving a term for rape. At some point in his first week after release he went to the home of that rape victim who's testimony had help convict him. He killed her, her young daughter and her friend who happened to be visiting.

How much would it have been worth to have kept him in prison?

You always seem to suggest that if additional gun control would save a few lives it would be worth the inconvenience to honest gun owners. I would now suggest that keeping bad guys in prison or executing them would be worth the few lives saved.

Yes, efforts to resist outright tyranny have been successful so far, mostly because people like me do worry about it. If there wasn't vocal and strenuous opposition to the gun control agenda of urban elites, gun rights in America would be in serious jeopardy. Any person who claims to care about protecting this unique legal right ought to be worried about any serious attempt to erode it.

You worry about it because you like worrying about it. I'm a lifetime member of the NRA. I've called my congressperson and complained about excessive gun laws. I fought against communism. You just like talking about it on the www, IMO, because it's a trend. You think that's what you're supposed to do. But the fact is, I like my guns as much as you like yours I just don't go around talking about it all the time.

 

I'm calling BS on this, you are not a lifetime member of the NRA and never have been.

I know many people on the left. They don't want to be controlled by the government, they just want to reduce violence. We can debate over whether their methods are correct, but you have no evidence for your conspiracy theory.

 

Life is good for some but a shitbag who would sexually assault someone deserves to die.

 

I have no problem with the death penalty. But the standard must be to a virtual certainty. We have released too many innocent people from death row to do less.

 

Guess the justice system is as screwed up and improperly handled as the current gun control laws.
