Seems some posters think because we dont fawn over Trump like they fawned over Obama, we must not really support him. Heres a quote from another thread that proves this is true.

Not much to explain... we're simply not gushers. Although we can be.

Feel free to gush over President Trump in this thread. Thats what it's here for.

I don't have to love his personal life or personal style to support what he's fighting for ....

Good judges, fair trade deals, lower taxes on business, border security, pushing NATO nations to step up, negotiating with North Korea, defeating ISIS, support for our flag and anthem, support of law enforcement and the military, energy independence, no new wars, and a determination to extricate ourselves from old ones.

Almost all of those things I listed would have been the polar opposite if Hillary had been elected.

His personal life and personal style don't matter to me, and I don't cast my vote so I can fawn over the president like a star-struck teenager at a rock concert. What matters is what he actually does - his decisions and his policies.

Lots to unpack there. Shall we begin with this?

3 Trump Judicial Nominees Withdraw, Raising Some Questions About Vetting

    https://www.npr.org/2017/12/19/5720...withdraw-raising-some-questions-about-vetting

I suppose this could discussed on two fronts. First, the appalling lack of quality in judicial nominees.

    https://twitter.com/SenWhitehouse/status/941484131757838337

Second, the historic obstruction by the Repubs causing the number of judicial vacancies to be so high.

"Part of that success is due to the huge number of judicial vacancies that existed when Trump took office — 122. That staggering number is due to the fact that Republicans, who controlled the Senate in the last two years of the Obama presidency, confirmed only two appeals court judges — a record that dates back to the 1800s."

Lee, if the Democrats had controlled Congress during the tenure of a conservative president, they would have obstructed conservative judicial nominees too. Neither of Trump's SCOTUS nominees would have been confirmed either.

    That's politics.

    Unpack the next one....

Those are stated in such general terms that they're meaningless.

"Good judges"? You mean politically conservative judges. I expect judges to respect and apply the law, not be politically motivated. The Heritage Foundation is the entity selecting judges, not Bonespurs.

"Fair trade deals"? They're called agreements or treaties, not "deals". Moreover, what has he actually done on this front besides ****ing us over by withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, and making very minor tweaks to NAFTA?

"Lower taxes"? *LOL* Corporations didn't do what Bonespurs promised that they would do--instead, they bought back their stock, and the budget deficit exploded. This was a major bonehead move.

"Border security"? *LOL* We all know what happened there.

"Pushing NATO"? Obama entered into an agreement with NATO nations to increase their expenditures in 2014. Bonespurs had nothing to do with it except flapping his gums.

"Negotiating with North Korea"? He's accomplished nothing except to embarrass himself and to elevate a midget murdering dictator's importance.

"Defeating ISIS"? ISIS was already being defeated when dumbo became "presuhdint". Our bumbling "presuhdint" nearly blundered by proclaiming that our military in Syria need to come home. Erdogan and Putin were absolutely giddy about that.

"Support for our flag and anthem"? Err, huh? By posting halfwitted tweets about the NFL? Silly comment.

"Support for law enforcement and military"? How, by attacking the FBI? There's nothing here to be grateful about to Bonespurs.

Despite all the childish graphics, you most certainly have a right to support the candidate of your choice anyway you want. That's the American way.

Putin is10 times smarter than Trump, so it's not even big archievement for Putin. If you're slow tool as Trump is, it's like taking candy from kid.
