It's worth noting the "fact checks" on Politifact were done by conservatives. Ocean would have you believe the only bias that exists in the media is a liberal one. Not so as his list attests to.

It shouldn't take outside sources for an objective thinking person to see that subjective conclusions can't be accurate.

    They are simply opinions.

But that is not what the Progressives running PolitiFact are trying to sell.

    1. So what Trump said was true, but because Illinois (the 3rd most corrupt state in the country), lost 1500 jobs due to their mismanagement, means Trump "lied"? How does that work?

    2. The Green New Deal proposes exactly what Trump said. That's not a lie.

    3. No, the power grid can't handle that vulnerability if you close down the carbon production that actually runs the grid.

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-green-new-deals-impossible-electric-grid-11550705997

    None of these are "lies".

    Got anything else?

That is true. During the summer, large areas covering nearly half of the US are under a large high pressure areas with very light winds. During that same period, the demand is high because of air conditioning. There will be brown outs or total black outs.

Exactly. That's why I make them give specific examples of "lies".

"Trump said he brought a bunch of car plants back to Illinois, but 1500 unrelated jobs were lost, so he's a lying liar lying about lying liar lying".

    It's mental.

And worse, I believe the media who does these fake list things know it. Who's going to check? They can throw out anything, and any total, and their well indoctrinated and trained just buy it and repeat it.

    That's really the thing.

They don't actually look at what was said, they are simply told "Trump is lying" and they moan "yes, master".

As noted by Wa Po, not everything on the list is considered to be a lie. Many are distortions of the truth..........like mentioning new jobs being created while leaving out the context of layoffs in other locations. It all amounts to the same thing, the listener of Don's misrepresentations is left with a false impression of reality.............which is the goal of any good conman.

None of those are distortions of the truth.

1500 jobs lost in Illinois has nothing to do with bringing back manufacturing jobs.

The NGD says exactly what Trump said it says.

NERC members have said the grid could collapse under that plan.

Everything he said was true from the list you provided.

One of the problems with wind and solar is that they have to be backed up with standby generators powered by natural gas or other fossil fuels. They require people and equipment on standby on a 24/7 basis which may cut down on the use of fossil fuels, but increases the cost of wind and solar considerably. A mix of wind/solar and fossil fuel generating plants generally works well, but even that system can come up short under the right circumstances.

But........it just isn't. I guess I understand why you folks can't bring yourselves to say, "I know he lies and I don't care," but clearly that is what is implied by your continued support of him.

It's not like we don't have real world examples of it.

    It absolutely is true.

1 Saying he brought back car manufacturing jobs has nothing to do with other jobs that might have been lost.

2 Saying the GND says what it says is not a lie.

3 Outlining known problems with a renewable-only grid is not a lie either.

Give me the BEST example of a lie from your little list.

    Let's debate your list.

Give me the best example from your WaPo article claiming Trump "lied" or "mislead" in his statements.

Here's your chance to take me down.

What would the point of that be when you have already shown your unwillingness to admit to clear distortions of the truth? For example.......

Trump Again Overblows Risks of Wind Power

    https://www.factcheck.org/2018/09/trump-again-overblows-risks-of-wind-power/
    ...............................................................................................................................
At this point I should mention the deceitful genius of Don's success in getting the minions to accept the premise that fact checks are "fake news." It's a perfect, self-fulfilling construct in which nothing Don says can be questioned because he claims any refutation of his distortions is fake...........or in ocean's case........are being questioned by biased organizations.

It is not overblown. It is a real risk if you try to replace too much of the power stations with wind. There will be brown outs and black outs.

Some people think that as long as there is enough wind to turn the blades, that is enough. That is not true. It takes more wind speed to turn a generator which is delivering high electrical power than one delivering low electrical power. When those winds drop off, those generators are not going to deliver enough amperes to meet the requirements.

You mean other than the real world example of Australia?

Trump was exactly right in what will happen to the power grid if it's only renewables.

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-03...s-power-system-weakened-by-wind-solar/8381356

So what I take from this is you can't defend your own OP.

Trump Just Might Have Won the 2020 Election Today
The president's speech at CPAC was a bedazzling mix of bravado, B.S., humor, and positive vision no Democrat will be able to top.

    Nick Gillespie|Mar. 2, 2019 3:25 pm

There is simply no potential candidate in the Democratic Party who wouldn't be absolutely blown off the stage by him. I say this as someone who is neither a Trump fanboy nor a Never Trumper. But he was not simply good, he was Prince-at-the-Super-Bowl great, deftly flinging juvenile taunts at everyone who has ever crossed him, tossing red meat to the Republican faithful, and going sotto voce serious to talk about justice being done for working-class Americans screwed over by global corporations.

That Trump didn't invent the current situation doesn't mean we shouldn't be concerned about it, but if he can continue to perform the way he did today at CPAC, it remains to be seen what Democratic rival can rise to that challenge.

Actions are more important than words.

Politicians talk, but don’t do anything. Trump actually does some very positive things.
