Palestinians been marching for great return (where to?) for how long now - destroying their own infrastructure, flying peace kites, rolling burning tires and running suicide gauntlets toward Israel, and look where it' got them so far? How about doing something constructive and actually talking to Israel?

How about doing something other than touting a one sided myopic partisan BS narrative. Regardless - none of this has anything to do with what was being discussed.

Perhaps on that count - but there is the rest of the post to consider. It is not like Israel is in any hurry to adopt a two state solution either.

Yep, the PLO has been intransigent. Exactly like Likud although they are a lot slicker.

Perhaps you've heard of the likud founding platform - Eretz Yisroel - from river to sea. Seems both sides have visions that don't include the other.

they were in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

    then the 2nd Intifada happened.

now there isn't much appetite left in Israel to trust the Arabs

It is not about trust - it is about getting the extremists out of the way on both sides. The current admin is hard core zionist - and has no desire to give up what they consider their historical territory.

I am well aware of Israel's illegal activities with respect to sealing land in the Occupied Territories.

There is little point in trying to talk sense to a Zionist = Trump - with respect to the two state solution/ peace.

the Palestinians have yet to offer the Israelis a detailed and comprehensive peace plan.

one that shares Jerusalem and allows some settlers to remain, along the Israeli border with 1:1 land swaps.

Sure they have - the same plan as Israel has offered - "Just give us all the land and there will be peace"

Which is my point. Israel has not given a comprehensive peace plan - one that is not a joke - either.

    Israelis have offered several plans.

Palestinians always say "NO!!!" and refuse to offer a viable alternative.

So? Are you suggesting the israeli government isn't responsible for the policies they implement? And if any population has the right to be a tad paranoid about their security, its the Israelis. Hard core zionist policies appeal to that fear.

And it in not going to stop.
It's not the Arabs they are being attacked by, but the Muslims.

Senior Hamas member encourages children to join terrorist organizations
“Oh the youth of Palestine, oh the youth of Gaza, you should join the Al-Quds and Al-Qassam,
the mujahideen [Jihadists] and the freeman wherever they may be,” he said.
