The "mess" of the Middle East predated the DISCOVERY of America.
It you go through each nation there and look at its problems I doubt you
will find "Made in USA" on much of it. Even Iraq - it's now a democracy
(sort of) doesn't invade its neighbors or use WMD's anymore.
The rot set in with Islam, and quickly into Shia and Sunni Islam, then
into Islamic wars, then the Ottoman Empire, then the technological and
scientific rise of Christianity with its resultant wealth and freedom - the
Real Reason Muslims hate us.

 

Hamas tries to do this nearly every day. It sends its own CHILDREN into conflict,
and with rockets, tunnels, incendiary kites and shooting or bombing school buses,
targets other people's children.

 

I honesty don't know where to begin except to say that your bigotry is only exceeded by your complete ignorance of history. New Zealand and the US are part of a group of societies that fall under the banner of Western Culture which in turn was formed and influenced by Christianity but is not wholly defined by it. Muslim civilization in the middle ages made vast contributions to western civilization by preserving the works of Greek philosophers and reintroducing them to the West after the fall of the Roman Empire, they also made major contributions to Western medicine, mathematics, chemistry and astronomy. The West in turn contributed significantly to the development of 'Eastern Civilizations'. Religion is of course a major part of any strand of civilization but it is not the ONLY strand as you seem to insist. And if the West was and is never wholly defined by Christianity then the 'East' was never wholly defined by the religion of Muhammad.

Secondly show me anywhere in the New Testament where Jesus or his Apostles suggest that conduct like what has just happened in Christchurch is acceptable. If as you suggest we are a 'Christian Culture' and you define yourself as part of that culture how then do you find this incident acceptable? Please explain how you go from the sermon on the mount and 'love your neighbor as yourself' to the drivel you are spouting now.

And go read a history book for Gods sake.

 

There are conflicts in Africa between muslims and Christians, but some insist on mentioning only the Christians who have died. People from both sides die in those confrontations.

What happened in in NZ, a civilized nation, is terrible. The count is now 49 dead.

I hope it is only a co-incidence that the killed uses the same words as alt-right (and even Trump) in US calling the victims "invaders".

The shock here is that it is (presumably) White Kiwis with a Christian influence who did this and we always expect more from them than we do from Muslims.

To put in one sentence, the West is what is is because there were no Muslims and the worship was to Jesus, not Allah.
Of course, it's not all about Christianity. But it's a Christian culture after all.
