But is it fair that a person has to work twice as hard to be as successful as someone who works half as hard. It is like a race starting the person in the outside lane way behind and then blame him for not winning

OK, so we take their money away.
    Then what?
They will still want to eat and still want to have shelter. How will they get those things?
Are there jobs available that they can go apply for?

For every 1 of those failures, there's likely 10 success stories for those who used it as a crutch to better their lives.

Because the messages are internalized! When blacks are told they are inferior and it’s institutionalized racism they internalize the message that they are inferior and white people internalize the message that blacks are inferior. It will take several generations for the racism to diminish. We see it now with young people who have no memory of segregation but their parents might. Young people are much more integrated socially than in the past

Yes there are. We have the strongest economy we’ve had in a long time. If I remember correctly a couple months ago we had more jobs available than we had people to fill them.

First you recognize the problem then you look for a solution. You cant find a solution until you recognize the problem.

So that means what exactly? That I have to endure discrimination because white people discriminated against them years ago? And yet if I even SUGGEST a hint of discrimination against them I’m a racist white supremacist?

You can’t have it both ways.

Democrats do just that with affirmative action and talk of reparations

    I agree.
Poor districts get less school funding, making a bad situation worse.

The way schools are funded needs to change. That might be a biggest and best starting point.
Now, how do we change the way schools are funded.
That is done at the state level. Unless the fed gov't steps in and provides resources.

If that were true after 50 years of success welfare would no longer be needed now

But the reality has been 50 years of failure

This is what happens. People like you stereotype women on food stamps as welfare queens. This is called prejudice because you know nothing about the woman. I remember one of my students mothers crying because somebody made a comment when she used food stamps. They didn’t know that she had two jobs but minimum-wage didn’t cover very much. Thank goodness now they have cards so people don’t know. As far as more severe penalties on blacks? You’ve got to be kidding. Look at Manafort and the localpot dealer. Guess which one was black and which one got the longer sentence
I have mentioned my husband and how we came from the worst poverty I have ever seen. He dropped out of high school at 16 because college could even be a dream for him. He retired in his 40s as a vice president at Smith Barney. He is the first want to tell you had he not been a white male he never would’ve gotten where he did . When you’re poor, you lack something too often.....hope

It's more than funding. It's difficult to get quality teachers to take positions in schools where they fear for their safety. This is when and where successful blacks should step up and staff these schools in order to help their own race instead of blaming white teachers and whites in general for the plight of black schools.

So what’s the excuse for the BILLIONS and dollars we have pumped into inner city schools that have negligible impacts AT BEST in regards to their performance?

Exactly and that's the problem with affirmative action. Whites have to be twice as good to get a spot slated for blacks and even then they wont get it.

White privilege doesn’t exist. It’s a fabrication. A nebulous concept created because there’s not ACTUAL systemic discrimination against blacks anymore so they have no laws to point to to excuse their abject failure within their communities.

So instead they’ve created this nebulous idea of white privilege to point to which is impossible to quantify.

I’ve listed multiple laws discriminatory to white people.

Grants and loans to minority farmers.
Tax credits to businesses who hire minority contractors.
The SBA providing grants loans and gov contracts to minorities.
The dozens of state and city programs that benefit minorities at the expense of the majority... or non-whites and whites respectively. Like NYC setting aside $3B for minority owned small businesses.

Exactly. What teacher is going to choose to go to a school where they fear for their safety and are routinely accused of being racist and discriminatory to make a few extra thousand dollars a year?

    They’re not.

Moronic reply. Where have I said that white Americans should be "punished" for the actions of whites decades ago?
And you really think that a black man in Denver should be punished for the actions of a complete stranger in Chicago just because they share a skin tone? How ****ed up is that?

So then you think we should end policies that benefit the minority at the expense of the majority right?

No more grants and loans to minority farmers that whites can’t access.

No more assistance to minorities from the SBA that whites can’t access or have to jump through a bunch of hoops.

No more tax credits to businesses who hire minorities?

Right? Because if so I’ll agree with you.

And my suggestion would only impact those black people who engage in and are convicted of violent crime by a jury of their peers. Not every black person.

Don't believe in natural rights, right wingers? It must be an inequality problem for that disparity to happen.

It does though. Culture has nothing to do with race. All races in those same communities have similar experiences and suffer and commit the same violent crimes.

There are - and have been grants and loans to white farmers.
There are tax credits to white businesses for expenses and hiring white disabled people.
The SBA provides grants and loans to white women in conducting businesses.
White businesses receive billions in state and city incentive programs. Google, Microsoft, Ford ... all have received hundreds of millions in special credits.

There is no black program that has received more than a small fraction of the total funds that white owned businesses have received.

No. They do not. That’s the point. If you break up the poor into race it is the BLACK poor who are committing the disproportionate amount of violent crime.

And all of those programs and tax credits white people can receive are received by EVERY other race too.

However the programs and funds that minorities get, white people either are not allowed to access or have to jump through hoops to access.

Both of which you folks have SCREAMED racism in the past for us doing it to black people. But apparently because we are discriminating against white people now... that’s cool.

So you would be fine if we had programs that only gave funds to whit... excuse me majority farmers. But minority farmers arent allowed to access those funds. But it would be fine because they have other funds they can access right?

    Yeah I didn’t think so.
