Yeah, I don't think it could have happened without him knowing about it somehow. Basically all information in the US was known to him at that time, part of the reason Kennedy canned him.

And don't forget that Dulles got appointed to the Warren Commission which was tasked with investigating the assassination.

    lol

Billy Sol Estes and Johnson were partners in crime, swindling the government out of millions of dollars through shady dealings. JFK and RFK caught wind of this corruption and decided not only to drop LBJ from the 1964 presidential ticket, but to investigate and possibly prosecute him for his dealings with Sol Estes. So LBJ along with CIA agents who hated JFK had JFK killed. And then they had RFK killed.

A deathbed confession from a former CIA agent implicating LBJ in the assassination is evidence. You may not find the evidence persuasive, but it is evidence.

Hilarious. Meaningless. Prove that he even said it.

LBJ began his political career by committing electoral fraud. The man was a criminal from the very start. He absolutely had it in his character to defraud the government and to order a killing. Just ask the Vietnamese.

I think you are giving LBJ too much credit here, he didn't have that much power at that time.

Also remember that at this time there was actually very little oversight of the CIA, similar to the FBI when Hoover did what he did.

They were tasked with missions from the president then allowed to carry them out pretty much any way they wanted, its how they oversaw the coups in Iran and Guatemala.

The only possible connection here is that they wanted to install him as the next president for some reason, which since nothing happened to bolster the CIA after he took over we can assume that wasn't the intent.

The CIA actually became far weaker after LBJ took office.

    Who killed JFK?

Technically, a Secret Service agent on accident when he nearly fell out of the lead car while he had his M-16 in his hands.

But really the second shot from Oswald would have killed Kennedy regardless. It did enough internal damage that at most he would have lived for a couple more days and that in terrible agony.

    Why? Because you say so?

    E. Howard Hunt's son recorded the confession:

LBJ was the Vice President of the US. And before that, he was in charge of handing out defense contracts worth many millions of dollars. He was extremely powerful.

What? Weaker? The CIA went totally off the reservation during the Vietnam war. They were basically untouchable. And still are.

More so than your follow up on my post.

So give us your apologist view on this video. LBJ's mistress talking about how LBJ told her "that SOB Irish mafia isn't going to be embarrassing me again". He told her that the night before JFK was assassinated.

All freedom exists within limits. You putting a nutty conspiracy theory in the wrong forum is an abuse of freedom.

    Not even close.

Take the U-2 spy plane. The Air Force had originally commissioned it but then turned it down so the manufacturer went to Dulles who then told them to build it.

    They did.

That was the power of the CIA before LBJ. Some say that the shooting down of that plane that really shouldn't have been in US service is what led Kennedy to go after Dulles, and the Bay of Pigs of course which was also Dulles plan commissioned by Eisenhower.

LBJ wasn't a player in any of this.

I believe this was a dick sizing contest between Dulles and Kennedy alone.

Kennedy knew that Dulles had way too much power, enough to affect his presidency and actually alter the course of the US through his actions, so he had him removed.

    Then Dulles had Kennedy removed.

After this fiasco congress jumped in and started crawling all around the CIA, new policies were implemented and so forth. Yes they still had lots of power but not nearly what they had before.

Remember that Dulles was essentially the father of the CIA. They responded to him, not to congress or the president. That changed after he was removed and Kennedy died, they just became another organization after that because nobody could assume the power that Dulles had.

The CIA has been an ineffectual joke for much of its history. So poorly thought of that they put George H.W. Bush in charge of it at one point remember.

One deathbed confession with no actual physical evidence to support it. In other words, utterly worthless.

Jack Ruby describes a conspiracy involving people at the top and then specifically implicates LBJ:

You want to censor your opponents. You want to silence differing opinions based on their content alone. You hate freedom. You're unamerican.

The job of the CIA is to orchestrate coups. They became so corrupt, that they helped orchestrate one right here in the USA. And they tried to do the same thing to Trump.

What's worthless here is your say-so that it's worthless. Your OPINION is not a fact. Try to remember that.

Doubt Hunt's statements all you like. But he did make them.
