And they create deficits while giving the economy a temporary sugar high. Targeted tax cuts do have some benefit when they stimulate the economy in specific ways. But, like you said, general tax cuts that don’t benefit the middle class, the biggest driver of the economy, do little but create deficits and Problems.
how many times will you disregard facts....there times before the **** crows ?

Ignorance, is simply the lack of knowledge or information. It’s a much kinder term to bestow on truth deniers then many others that imply a person just isn’t that smart to begin with. I would never assume that of anyone I didn’t know. You really need to tell us when the last fiscal year of Bush last budget runs to. Tell us.

    You do know that Obama
Barack Obama was first elected as the 44th President of the United States on Nov. 4, 2008. He was sworn into the office on Jan. 20, 2009.

How could 2008 be one of his budget years ? Bush's Final Budget Proposal: $3.1 Trillion President Bush sends Congress his final budget — a $3.1 trillion proposal for fiscal 2009. Are you serious that you don’t understand what a fiscal year is, or are you trying to rewrite the calendar ?

Go argue with the mods about it, it's their rule and will get your post deleted and a warning so beware.

The last Bush/Republican budget was for FY2007.

"In FY2009, Congress did not complete work by September 30, 2008. President Bush did sign some appropriations bills and a continuing resolution to keep the government running into President Obama’s first term, yet a Democrat controlled Congress purposely held off on the big spending portions of the appropriations bills until Obama took office. They did so for the purposes of jacking up spending. President Obama signed the final FY2009 spending bills on March 11, 2009.

The Democrats purposely held off on the appropriations process because they hoped they could come into 2009 with a new Democrat-friendly Congress and a President who would sign bloated spending bills. Remember, President Obama was in the Senate when these bills were crafted and he was part of this process to craft bloated spending bills. CQ reported that “in delaying the nine remaining bills until 2009, Democrats gambled that they would come out of the November 2008 elections with bigger majorities in both chambers and a Democrat in the White House who would support more funding for domestic programs.” And they did.
The Truth about President Obama's Skyrocketing Spending

"Unlike last year, when Bush forced Democrats to accept lower spending figures, this year could prove more difficult for the president. The fiscal year begins Oct. 1, less than four months before he leaves office.
"He doesn't have us over a barrel this year, because either a President Clinton or a President Obama will have to deal with us next year," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. "We are not going to be held hostage to the unreasonableness of this president."
Much of the president's plan has little chance of passage, lawmakers and budget experts say. Nearly $200 billion in Medicare and Medicaid savings need congressional approval, which Democrats are unlikely to provide. "Dead on arrival," vowed Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.
    http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/washington/2008-02-03-bush-budget_N.htm

And they didn't hold to that "unreasonableness" of Bush as they had to in 2008 and increased spending 20% and the deficit hit $1,400B just two years after that last Bush/Republican deficit of a mear $161B. Then Obama and the Democrats kept it over $1,000B for the next 4 years never coming close to the WORST Bush/Republican deficit of $400B in 2004 the year the tax rate cuts phase in was accelerated and the economy went into to high gear and we hit a record 15% tax revenue increase. Double the capgains tax revenue at half Clinton's rate.

I didn't say 2008 was a President Obama budget, it was a Democrat Congress budget including Senator Obama's full support and vote, why do you try to divorce him of it, was he THAT LAME a Senator? FY2009 was a President Obama budget, why do you try to assign it to President Bush? He had nothing to do with it.
You do realize the Democrats took back the Congress January of 2007?

And which part is the rewrite and be specific.

"The recession was 2/3's over when Obama moved over to the WH and ended within 6 months before his stimulus was even put into place. Stop with the false credit to Obama, all he did was blow $800B on a failed stimulus that was supposed to hold unemployment to 8% and quickly get us into a full recovery that never came."

If you are going to make these claims then be specific and offer your rebuttal.

    What is not factual?
FY2008 and FY2009 where Democrat budgets not Republican or Bush budgets. FY2009 specifically included additional spending by President OBAMA. The economy Obama "inherited" was after two years of his and his fellow Democrat's policies and failure to deal properly with the 2008/2009 recession after taking that control a year before it began.

Lunacy. OBama wasn’t sworn in till 2009. Ha ha. OBama took control before 2008 ? Wtf are you talking about ? Are you really that deranged ?
You really don’t know what a fiscal year is do you. The congress wasn’t sworn in till 2009. How can they author a budget for year 2008. Dah. Are you deranged ? Bush budget passed in 2008 goes to September 2009. You have no facts that’s state otherwise because you’re dillusional. But keep making these foolish statements; why don’t you claim OBama declared war on Iraq too while your at it and ordered the 9-11 terrorist attacks.

    Summary by the AARP

Republicans ALWAYS cut taxes for the very rich who simply increase their investments in "sterile" assets - existing stocks, bonds and realestate, none of which increases demand for goods or services.

Because those tax revenues are not there, Republicans then cut services for the 99% to "balance the budget" and increase borrowing which restricts access to capital for business expansion. The 99% must now pay for services that had been "free" - like school textbooks - and REDUCE their consumption of goods and services. Lower demand causes businesses to scale back their production, leading to fewer hours for workers, lower paychecks and further decreases in consumption, made worse for the bottom 50% by the need to borrow from unregulated loan sharks.

So why does anyone in the bottom 99% ever vote for a Republican thinking they will make things better? They have done EXACTLY what I described and produced EXACTLY the above results every time they controlled GoverNment. “

Wrong, the track to a recession was done long before by a Republican controlled govt which lead to two wars, deregulation and tax cuts.
9-10 have been under republican control.

The biggest factors in the recession, tax cuts, Iraq war, deregulation, were all policies that Obama voted against . You’re in this fallacy world that recessions start the day the market falls. Laughable. These factors are still in force today continuing to create massive debt. Seeing you don’t know the difference between debt and deficit, it’s another lost cause expecting you to understand it.

Tarp was paid back WITH INTEREST
In 2007 the additional spending for the wars was $88B and the deficit that year was only $161B. And Obama declared the wars over in 2009 and retreated.
The tax rate cuts produced historic tax revenue increases
You don't source your numbers or who made up the nonsense and we are talking actual spending actual deficits not %'s of GDP.

    That's not CBO
What raised the deficits to the levels we are fighting now. I already cited it, the Democrats HUGE spending increases of 10% in 2008 and then 20% in 2009. It was Republican sequester that brought it down, sequester which Democrats complained about. It was the Democrats failures to get us into a full recovery and their worst employment in modern history that helped drive those deficits.

I already explained it to you and cited the historical record. 2008 and 2009 were DEMOCRAT BUDGETS. The CONGRESS controls the budget. 2008 was a negotiates budget and Bush was able to hold down much of the Democrats desired spending increases but 2009 he was cut out and the budget held off until a Democrat took office. And again the tax rate cuts produced RECORD revenue increases and they brought the defcit down to a paltry $161B.
