Funny, your reference says not a damned thing about MacArthur.

As always, all we see is a strong of conspiracies strung together in your mind and not connected in reality.

    Not at all.

We did not leave the Japanese armed forces alone. We did not allow them to conduct their own war crimes trials. We did not immediately return all captured Japanese territory to Japan. We did indeed have an occupation, something proposed Japanese articles would have forbidden. They did not retain their territory pre-war in China. Manchuko was not allowed to remain with it's puppet Emperor. Chosin and Formosa were not retained as Japanese territories.

Oh yes, they are so much the same, it is impossible to tell the difference between the two!

Once again, what Japan was trying to float was an armistice, with a quo ante bellum.

For those that know little about technical military terminology, that means a cease-fire, with the combatants returning to their positions before the war broke out. In other words, pretending like it never happened.

No. No ignorance on his end. His post clearly shows that he is aware of Japan's actions at the end of WWII.

I would hope so. I have been studying this conflict in detail now for over 35 years now.

Including an understanding into what largely started the entire conflict going (the Boxer Rebellion) as well as lesser known aspects of the war. Including the Japanese Army Ni-Go and Navy's F-Go Atomic Bomb programs.

Something else most "Japan Apologists" never want to talk about. That the nation was working feverously in designing and building their own atomic bomb. And that at the time the US Manhattan Program started it was actually ahead of the US. They were already extracting U-235, and was trying to obtain more uranium ore from Germany at the time that nation surrendered (which was aboard the German U-234 submarine which surrendered to the US in May 1945). The over 1,200 pounds of uranium oxide was kept a secret for decades, and was transferred to the Oak Ridge processing plant and used in making Manhattan Program bombs.

But the 2 cyclotrons used for the project were torn apart in November 1945 and dumped into Tokyo Bay. Their Heavy Water plant and secondary research facility was located in what is now North Korea, and fell to the Soviets after the invasion.

If the US had not been working so hard on their own bomb, the chances are very good that by 1946 they would have been still fighting conventionally in Japan when they used their own atomic bomb against the US.

Like the US, the Japanese had the right physicists and theoreticians working on it, and had come up with workable designs for a uranium bomb almost the same as the US had. However their largest bottleneck just like the US was in processing enough Uranium to obtain sufficient bomb grade materials. They were far ahead of Germany (who was trying for a direct fusion weapon), but behind the US because they could not extract enough uranium, and did not try to work out the theory for using plutonium in an implosion type device.

Ultimately it was the multiple bombings on their research and production facilities and relocating them to Korea that pushed them behind the US. For the first half of the war they were actually working alongside the US efforts.

Asking if you are illiterate would explain your first response to a subject you clearly do not understand. You asking if I am stoned is your back against the wall and looking for a way out of your predicament.

No chance of you returning to the subject, I see. You're out on a limb and you are beginning to understand that. Run!

He lives in an alternate reality where the US lost WW II and the US didn't force the USSR to remove the missiles in Cuba.

Not sure if I should laugh out loud at this or weep for mankind. There are some really odd fantasies out there that people perpetuate.
