All I said about it here was that it is equality of outcome. The fact that it is an equality of outcome that you like does not make it no longer equality of outcome. If you want to debate its merits, fine, we can talk about how economists are universally telling him he's wrong, but it doesn't change the fact that it is still equality of outcome. And I know this is Trump we are talking about. That's why I'm concerned. The guy is so economically ignorant that he thinks trade wars are a good thing, exporters pay tariffs, trade deficits are actual monetary losses, and that we'd be richer if we didn't trade with anyone. He makes AOC look like an economic genius.

democrats now = communists and Republicans now = Democrats of 40 years ago (when they were sane)
    Republicans talk about policies
Democrats talk about more important issues , like the color of ones skin or their sexual preferences (really important stuff)

    there ya go!

I see these type of comments and I blame public education! How dare the government create so many people completely ignorant of Marxism.

Well I'm not an economist, my degree is in biology so I can't actually debate that with you.

However, I will concede the point that in trade he wants equal results.

Good example on your part sir.

I do believe my general point still stands however, in most cases.

You had to look it up in a dictionary? Hahahaha! I was being sarcastic and sneering at the stupidity of your comment.

I did have to look it up. I haven't heard the term often to be honest. According to the definition, its related to communism, which is related to socialism, which is related to democrats. I'm not sure where the stupid part is.

Let's set you a challenge. Refer to a Democrat who has utilised Marxist analysis to get their point across. Good luck :)

No system is immune from corruption. But your example doesn’t work since Venezuelan oligarchs were not in favor of Chavez and had connections to the attempted coup in 2002.

right wing platitudes? the left merely needs to learn how use Capitalism for all of its capital worth in modern times. Socialism is about equality and equal protection of the law regardless of capital under any form of capitalism.

Republicans believe in the people. Democrats believe the people are pathetic and need government to make decupisiins for them.

Republicans believe in equal opportunity. Democrats believe in equal results.

It's more complicated than what has been discussed so far.

At this time Trump has taken a stand against "globalism" and for "nationalism" on matters of trade and immigration.

That's not necessarily the traditional Republican platform, but explains the rise in popularity.

There are many Republicans in the Party who really don't like this.

Republican politicians tend to publicly default to a support of patriotism -- or what is overall best for one's own nation -- and capitalism whereas Democrat politicians tend to default period to a bone deep hatred of this nation and an open embrace of socialism, which is leftist code for loving Marxism.

Republicans believe in god and country, apple pie, the flag, they support our troops, defend the constitution and the values of our founders, support the police to rightly defend law and order, believe in smallest government, minimal taxes, least regulation, are moral, think the usa is an exceptional country with a divine mandate and blessing from god, think that individuals are (or should be) totally in command of their own destiny without government involvement, think that unless we have unimpeded access to guns the country will deteriorate into a dictatorship an criminals will run rampant in the streets

Democrats want all income to be taxed from those who earned it and distributed to people who are too lazy to work, democrats want totally open borders, are immoral, and oppose all that is good and right. Democrats consciously want to destroy this county. Basically democrats are the spawn of the devil

California is now banning the use of small shampoo bottles in hotels. Just another example (there are *millions* of others) of how the left seeks to curtail our freedom and micromanage our lives.

Not sure how I'm going to cope without little shampoo bottles in hotels!

Markets fail. The only issue is the extent that we can rely on libertarian paternalism.

Plutocracy cannot exist without big government. Asking for more government to end plutocracy is like asking for more cyanide in the water because to many people are dying.

I've always looked at Republican policies/priorities as being 'top down', while Democrats focus on 'bottom up'. Its a massive generalization, but gives a starting point to seeing the differences.

    Simple.

It's the difference of governing to protect the rights of the individual, realizing this benefits the collective (republican) versus governing for the collective failing to see it decimates individualism which is unsustainable (democrats)

I'm saying government doesn't need to micromanage our lives. They don't need to tell us what size soft drink we can buy (12 ounce, 24 ounce, etc.) like they did in NYC.

    I don't want a nanny state.

The foundation of the Democratic Party today is, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need".

A weak effort! Surely you can refer to just one quote referring to Marxist analysis? Perhaps a picture of one of them thumbing through Das Kapital?
