But one that stabilizes. There is no reason to fear a recession just because the US has a MW for 14% of its families ...

So did I, but so what?

The distribution of income is a matter for the entire population and your experience is just one drop in a verrrryyy larrrrrge bucket.

It offers fairness of outcomes where there are none. The US economy is one of "winner takes all" ...

    Dude, that statement is meaningless.
You don't know what company, and what the money goes to.
To say it's good enough is --------.

We should all care about jobs that remain undone because unskilled labor is idled by the minimum wage. The people who really need unskilled workers are small business owners and the skilled workforce that would hire unskilled workers if they could afford them. Big Business thrives under the minimum wage laws.

You have stuff made in China, by children and political prisoners, and we just suck it up, because what cost us 10 dollars to make, they can do for 50 cents.
Look at the Farming industry, we looked the other way when Mexican migrants came in to work the fields for cheap.
They took the money back home where it was worth 12 times as much.
We could put Americans in the orchards if you are willing to pay 10 dollars for an apple or tomato.

One I had made in America for 18.95
and one I made in China for 2.20

i have no idea how you got those numbers.

firms leaving for merely cheap Labor should require their CEO to be paid in the local currency of that local, less developed economy at par.

I know where corporate funding happens in an economy. (And, no, I wont be giving you that particular link.)

I also know how well or not it works, and why. (Out of a great many years of corporate experience in product/services development.)

You don't! And that makes all the difference in a Debate Forum ... !

Will only hurt small businesses and individuals who need unskilled workers. Skilled workers do not need minimum wage laws.
Unskilled workers need government subsidies. The minimum wage just idles them.

just whinery? why blame the Poor. Business gets to Expense the Cost of Labor; the more Labor Costs, the more you get to Expense.

full employment of resources in any given sector, but especially sectors in human capital, promote the general welfare the most.

solving simple poverty can increase market participation to more, full employment of capital resources, levels.

    Bollocks!

It is evident that you know nothing regarding this matter. I have given enough proof in this thread showing how debilitating is the MW at present. It barely pays for decent accomodation.

    Go away ...

Then get rid of the MW in favor of subsidies for unskilled workers.
Just do the math and fix the problem instead of making it worse by idling millions workers.

I double dog dare you to paste up anything from my posts blaming the poor. ;-)

The poor are idled by Bad Government policies and law. The poor are, as always, the victims of a corrupt ruling elite.
