Well, it looks like Ukraine's voters have thrown out chocolate candy industry billionaire, "Porky" Poroshenko, and replaced him with a different variety of clown.

Too bad for the IMF, which had labored tirelessly ever since the fall of the Soviet Union to subvert Ukraine into becoming another of its stooge-countries. Now Madame Lagarde and her henchmen will have to come up with new billions of euros to buy whichever corrupt faction is behind 'reality show' comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

The only 'winner' I see in this farce is the man I have said repeatedly is one of the two smartest leaders in the world today --

[IMG]. "I LOVE a good comedy!"

Electing an entertainer as a protest against corruption and the status quo! Whoever heard of such nonsense? What's the world coming to, I ask. LOL

What is the world coming to? With the passing of every damned day it appears that 'what the world is coming to' will be decided by the two smartest leaders in the world today....

upload_2019-4-22_10-3-49.png At this rate, in ten years they'll rule the WORLD, and not have to fire a shot.

Yep....smart leader.....of a "country" that it's economy is roughly the size of New York state, and 60% of rural villagers use outdoor toilets.

2% in your dreams, not that it would matter anyway. Russia because of its sheer size and wealth, was the only nation that could turn a unipolar world into a multipolar one. What they needed was the right leader to do that - and they have him.

Russia's new Tsar isn't that great. If there's another pole in today's world, it's China, not economically puny Russia, the world's gas station.

I don't think Washington wanted Poroshenko any more. There's something going on, because Merkel avoided shaking hands with him. I read something, but I can't remember - maybe something to do with the IMF loans.

I wonder if Poroshenko's plane is ready to scoot him out of there, so he won't be hung up on his heels - which he deserves after sending so many boys to die without training. As for Putsch's, there have been about 3 since the first one and they were covered up by the MSM. I wonder how the comedienne is going to pacify the Nazis?

Russia is an economic midget. Claiming that it’s going to be ruling the world is not substantiated by anything except wild imagination and belief in Santa Claus.

China has people and Russia has land, and people have to live and people have to eat. Today Russia is the breadbasket of the Far East and much of the world, and its fishing and agriculture is growing at a rapid rate - thanks to the sanctions. In addition they have:

    25% of the world's timber
    54% of the world's gas
    46% of the world's coal
    13% of the world's oil
18% of the world's iron ore
    14% of the world's uranium
    25% of the world's diamonds
    6% of the world's gold

Platinum, silver, nickel, titanium, manganese, potash, rhenium, cobalt, molybdenum, tungsten, zinc, lead, copper, aluminum, mercury, tin, bauxite.

Doesn't seem like a midget to me.

You read "something"...."somewhere", just can't remember. So in other words you have f***all and it's all wild speculation.

Maybe something with IMF"?....that's really convincing.

Send so many boys without training? Oh what Jenny? You've developed a conscience? You know how many thousands of Russki regulars have died from those untrained Ukies. Crematory trucks run 24/7.

Where's those pics and vids of the riots Jenny?

Nazis again?? I think the vatniks are in love with Nazis?

A stupid diagram. It doesn't show the populations in relation to the numbers, nor the debts of a nation such as the US. Also it's based on the American dollar, so it's not being reflective of the living standards of nations with more competitive currency values.

All that terrific growth, yet their economy is in the tank and their population is going down.

But yes, they have lots of natural resources. Comes with controlling 1/8th of the Earth's land surface. Yay.

The difference between Russia and China is that China is dependent on imports to feed its large population, which makes it vulnerable to the whims of others. While Russia is self sufficient in just about everything. It's debt free and a world unto itself, so the only thing they really need is a strong military to protect its people and assets.

Could have fooled me. Was there 3 weeks ago and all the construction cranes and high end malls packed said otherwise.

GDP.....a highly touted yet stupid metric.

GDP = private consumption + gross investment + government investment + government spending + (exports – imports)

Government investment aka government taking on debt and government spending aka big government means high taxes and if not enough taxes then more debt, as in our case.

GDP is the most reasonable metric.
And it seems reasonable to most people - you see cranes and I read that majority of their rural population uses outhouses instead of proper restrooms and showers.
Shopping for ultra cheap Chinese goods in malls is no replacement of crappy quality of life where one can’t take a nice comfy shower in the morning during a winter. And when you look at beautiful russian village girls please don’t forget to remember where she went to poop today and how clean her goods are, especially in chillier times of year when they go for extended periods of time without bath/shower. ;)

^^^^^^^^^^ This tells me just how little you know about Russia. If you really don't know anything about the country and the people, why are you commenting?

Once upon a time I was a dumbass too, because my only source of information was the ignorant media and political talking heads. Then I got a visa and have been to Russia a few times as well as all across Eastern Europe. It has its positives and negatives just like any other place, but the average American would be very surprised to see how it really is versus what they've been brainwashed into believing their entire lives. I educated myself....others should do the same.

Tell me, how Putin is the winner here. Do you mean that Zelensky is going to be a bad President and this is what Putin wants? Actually Russia needs strong and successful Ukraine

I just want him to explain how Zelensky election win is a victory for Putin. He mocks Zelensky and calls him a clown, so he doesn't believe his Presidency will be good for Ukraine.
