    Good point.
It is? Economic growth is about what is was five years ago under Obama.

Real wages have grown about 1% in the last two years.

If real wages aren't going up very much, there's a limit to how fast the economy can grow based on consumer spending. The other ways it can grow are business spending, government spending, and exports. Business has taken the Trump tax cuts and done stock buybacks and distributed dividends. Why? Because we don't have growing consumer spending or very good prospects for our exports. So much for business spending. Government spending? Trump wants to cut it. Not a bad thing unless the spending is going to useful infrastructure (not pork, bridges to nowhere, etc.). The bottom line here is that we have to change some economic basics if we're going to get sustained faster growth.

You may think the economy is "good," but the truth is Trump bought a little extra growth with poorly targeted tax cuts and a doubling of the deficit to $1t.
What's with Trump? Canada is our largest export market, yet Trump has been badmouthing them with lies about them taking advantage of us. He says they have a trade surplus with us, but the truth is we have a goods and services surplus with them. Trump deliberately ignores we sell them a lot of services. Overall, they sell us a lot of raw materials and we sell them manufactured goods and services. What's not to like about that? Canada is diversifying their trade--they signed a free trade deal with the EU, the TPP, and are working on a deal with South America. They don't trust us.
They tell us we can have a free lunch. What else is news?
A nice theory that doesn't seem to have worked in practice. Trump seems more determined to increase his wealth than I am to increase mine. Maybe you should elect me--I'll work for $1/year, put all of my assets in a blind trust, and continue not drawing Social Security or using Medicare.
I care about his recent tax returns. Is he using the Presidency to make money? Would you bet have your assets that he isn't?

He is the consummate con-man who probably drained the casinos of cash and let them go belly-up while he came out whole. Of course, the employees, like the supporters of Trump, also lost their jobs. Risk takers who end up wealthy generally conduct themselves in a more honorable way than Trump.

Your opinion and use of the word "probably" is noted.

    Mueller said:
...the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.
How is this not an exoneration?

When you can provide evidence that a crime was committed, let us know.

As per the OP he basically lost that seed money in Atlantic city and then earned it back in spades.

How do you know that he earned it back? No tax returns show that he earned anything back - they all show losses

    1) Blatant, blatant straw man 2) Casinos were not his only business 3) Name any other individual, AC casino owner or otherwise, whose businesses were this much in the red over the course of a decade 4) Even if this were all about his AC casinos and nothing else, it still would speak to a lack of business wisdom for him to dump money into a failing venture for a decade 5) It isn't like his AC failures couldn't be anticipated . . . at least one business analyst published an article about everything wrong with his business strategy and, instead of listening to facts, Trump's reaction was to try (and fail miserably, of course) to sue the man for exercising his 1st Amendment rights.

Well, of course, I wasn't there and it is a good possibility, having read much about Trump's business practices. If he did not drain it, then he is a poor business manager.

    Net losses.
With net losses taken across several businesses, it is perfectly possible for some of those businesses turned a profit.
    You understand that, right?

How does a net loss across all his businesses preclude one or more of his businesses "earning it back"?

The legal definition of "exonerate" is to prove innocent. Mueller's investigation did not prove Trump innocent of conspiracy with Russia, it just determined the there not evidence for a prosecutable case; i.e. Mueller judged that Trump's guilt could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. It still may be that Trump conspired with Russia in some sense (his behavior is consistent with this), but there's no direct evidence of an agreement of any kind - so it is appropriate to let it go.

    Mueller also said:

if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice , we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, however , we are unable to reach that judgment. The evidence we obtained about the President 's actions and intent presents difficult issues that prevent us from conclusively determining that no criminal conduct occurred. Accordingly, while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.

You refuse to understand the point made to you.
Point to the tax return that shows ALL of his businesses operated at a loss.

There is no "legal' definition of exonerate that differs from the common definition of exonerate:

    verb: exonerate;
    1. (especially of an official body) absolve (someone) from blame for a fault or wrongdoing, especially after due consideration of the case.

    Mueller said:
...the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.
How does Mueller's statement not absolve Trump (et al) blame for a fault or wrongdoing, especially after due consideration of the case?

I was referring to definition in a law dictionary:

Exoneration refers to a court order that discharges a person from liability. In criminal context the term exonerate refers to a state where a person convicted of a crime is later proved to be innocent.

It absolves him of criminal liability, but there's still reason to be suspicious of his actions. Compare this to the many claims that are made against Hillary - there's no charges against her, but many remain suspicious.
