If you think Trump is not building the wall bordering with Mexico, he is building the wall for America.

Clearly this is excellent for America. And Trump can keep the intruders in Mexico due to a Court decision. Excellent news that we all can welcome.

But do you welcome keeping out the Mexican invaders? (Mexican is used generically for all below the border due to them being in Mexico)

Forcing them to remain in Mexico while their "claims" are processed will likely make Mexico guard their southern border more carefully.

A very disproportionate number of the people sneaking through the border are criminals.
It shouldn't really be that surprising at all, when you think about it. Someone who would break laws and sneak through a border is far more likely to be a criminal.

The criminals are searching for greener pastures where there are wealthier more unsuspecting victims and where all the homes do not have bars protecting their windows.

(not saying most illegals are criminals, but the percentage of them who are is many times higher than it is in the general population of Mexico, which is already several times higher than the US)

He isn't building sh't--the American people are paying for it, somewhere around $300 per taxpayer.
I'd rather we spent at least half of the $40b going after employers hiring illegals.

P.S. Mexico ain't payin' for the wall.

You want the illegals in so you can starve them to death. Amazing logic.

I have sold a lot of homes. When mexicans move in, first thing they do to the home is install steel bars on the windows and doors. They know what you know about Mexicans.

I believe you are correct. Few are really desperate and few obtain asylum. This tips us off the best place for them is there in Mexico.

They won't come if they know employers will see them as RADIOACTIVE, and plenty here now will git.

Well that and often putting up a big ugly fence around their front yard with a gate across their driveway, even though it's just a small regular sized yard.
If they don't completely cement over their entire front yard.

Mexican culture moving in is the reason many neighborhoods have to deal with annoying Homeowner's Associations and their bunch of stupid rules; it's the lesser of two evils.

I like the Mexican immigrants who plant their yard with fruit trees, but unfortunately they seem to be in the minority.
And unfortunately, once one of them moves in and completely cements over their front yard, it pretty much stays that way, even after a new owner moves in, casting an unsightly blight on the neighborhood.

I understand the reason for the fencing, marking their territory and making it more difficult for someone to climb over the fence to steal something, since they come from Mexico and they have to take extra precautions there, but I don't understand the cementing over of their front yards. I'm sure there's some reason for it in their culture but I don't know what it is.

You placed a Government duty, paid for using taxes, on the backs not of all employers, just the firms with a human resources department in charge of all hiring and firing.

Those hired by firms with less than 50 workers, I am recalling, do not have to turn in illegals around the nation.

    But you want firms punished.

Why when CA law says this to Illegal Aliens.

As an undocumented worker, what are my rights under wage and hour laws?
Undocumented workers generally have the same wage and hour rights as other workers. Thus, the same Federal and California wage and hour laws that apply to authorized workers generally apply to persons working without legal immigration status. These laws establish your right to minimum wage, overtime pay, breaks, tips, and other forms of wages. For example, an employer cannot refuse to pay you by saying that you should not have been working in the first place because you have no “papers.” (However, if you have been fired because you have a wage complaint, it’s less clear whether you can recover the income you lost due to being fired.)

Filing a Wage Claim: If you choose to file a wage claim, you can either file with the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (also known as the “Labor Commissioner”) or sue your employer in court. You can also contact the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). Neither of these agencies should question you about your immigration status nor report your lack of status if it is somehow revealed.

All illegal aliens are criminals by virtue of their mere presence in the united states.

I found out the answer, it's because so many people are packed into the houses now that they want to have more paved spaces to park their cars, and if friends come over to visit them there may not be enough parking spaces on the street, or they may be concerned about cars parked on the street getting stolen because those neighborhoods are not the safest. So the pretty green lawn in the front yard has to go.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2002/06/13/garden/the-chroming-of-the-front-yard.html

They also use the front yards as their patio space because all the visitors want to be able to keep an eye on their cars so they don't get stolen.

I guess you fellas won't mind when Canada turns away the illegals crossing their border coming from this country. Canada figures the best place for 'em is here since we let 'em in.

Yeah, and clean his suite. The Bloviator must have bad eyes because the illegal cleaners had been working there for years.

Hysterically funny ... sit in their paved yard to watch over their cars in the street. I say this as a former Napa resident with a front row seat to the SF insanity.

I have never seen them put bars on their homes in my city as I described. Oakland CA has an enormous base of Mexicans living there and they have thousands of homes with such bars. But due to fire danger, Oakland mandates an interior bar release to let the bars swing open in the event of fire. You can't tell that by looking from the St. since the release is built inside the home.

If we have such bars here in my city, I simply never see them.

This home in my city has a barred gate installed.

Many neighborhoods in Southern California and Southern Texas are like that.

Did Canada welcome our Draft Dodgers prior to the draft ending? What are your thoughts on that.

They did. Educated draft dodgers with the required documentation could drive up to the border and get admitted for permanent residence on the same day. They welcomed the "brain drain" in their direction.

The types who couldn't make a "go" of it in Canada went back when Carter gave them amnesty.
Their country, their choice. Canada has been with us in every war except for Vietnam and Iraq 2003, both wars we shouldn't have fought. Maybe they know something we don't.

I would replaced the traditional Social Security card with an electronic card modeled on the Nexus Pass. We can read the card and check biometric data with a simple scanner, even a cell phone. Every employer would be required to check.

Caused by city planners toadying to developers who make money by jamming more and more people into cities. You think we didn't have enough open land...

Technically, 100% of those who entered our country illegally are criminals.
