    Just returned from my trip of seeing my grandson for the first time/towing an overweight trailer to north Idaho, and hauling it back home empty. 2870 miles. Left Wednesday 2 AM, got home Sunday 1:30 am. I’m pooped.

    When the timing works out, I like to stop at Casino Morongo. I never gamble, but casinos are a cut above the typical truckstop.

    I liked Casino Morongo because they had an Asian restaurant there. The other day, I stopped in because I really wanted some fried ramen noodles. There is a fancy restaurant on the top floor, that I've always wanted to try, but I love fried noodles. They always win out.

    You might imagine my disappointment, the other day, when I stopped there only to find that the Natural9 Noodle Co. wasn't there! It had closed down.

    As a consolation prize, I finally got around to trying out the fancy restaurant upstairs. It was fantastic! I had the absolute best, most scrumptious piece of Chilean Sea Bass that I've ever had. It came with some kind of terrific weird mushrooms, an amazing sauce, and baby bok choy. Even the wedge salad starter was great. To top it off, they had my favorite white wine. I used to mail-order that stuff, every year. All in all, it was definitely a meal to remember.

    When my bank saw the tab, they turned my card off...

    I’ve never been into morongo. They are getting ready for a kitchen remodel in the next couple of weeks so you might be out of luck in the near future. Not sure which kitchen.

    Well...I put thick glass on the outside and my stained glass on the inside . The outside glass may be automotive glass but too thick for me to try to cut. All the most panels are twelve by twelve glass. Anyway....it left a gap at 5 ft 6 and a half. .....it looked like a crack.. 0515190934.jpg ..took some old wood and covered it up on both sides. The porch is beginning to shape up..

    Put two braces on my heart pine screen door. May put two more. The door didn't hang properly. It sagged on the hinges. Will move the hinges and try again. Sometimes hinges in the wrong place will make that happen.

    0515191728.jpg Looks like I need to cut the studs under the stained glass window box....need to take off an inch and a half and run a two by four under the box so the frosted glass and the stained glass match up.....also need to build up the door frame. It ain't never gonna be right if not built up. I hung the stained glass window when no one was around.Just getting it up there was a chore and it is easy enough to fix. 0515191728.jpg
