    ⁜→ Moi621, et al,

Oh, this IS NOT the real question. Certainly NOT a mystery. However, the demand is slightly different depending upon which faction within the Arab Palestinian quasi-government you talk to at any one time.

    (REFERENCE)

    (COMMENT)

As you can see from the references, there was a clear pattern, in the politics of the Arab of Palestine, from the time of the creation of the League of Nation Mandate for Palestine → right through → to the Creation of the UN Palestine Commission, and the attempt to bring in the Arabs of Palestine into the active "Steps Preparatory for Independence" [UN Resolution 181 (II)]. The Arabs of Palestine categorically refused to participate in the establishment of any self-governing Institution.

This political policy of the Arab Palestinians was carried over and maintained right through to the Six Day War of 1967 in the neo-form of The Three NO's (no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations - AKA: The Khartoum Resolution) and persists in the today's current form:

◈ Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine.
◈ Commando (Feday'ee) action constitutes the nucleus of the Palestinian popular liberation war.

While some Arab Palestinians still hold on to the "River to the Sea" demand (ie the entirety of the territory formerly under the Mandate) the current Key Facts and Position is:

I do not believe Palestinian Arabs rejected their nation
as much as their Arab brothers.

Sort of like when Egypt felt the Saudi's are willing
to war against Israel to the last drop of Egyptian blood.
    Way back, Sadat time.

    Y'think

Did the Arabs of Palestine ask Egypt to take dominion
of Gaza and Jordan the area west of the river?

Nobel prize committees prefer western scientists over those from other cultures. That's obvious, bro.

... and don't try to tell me that today's Jews belong to an alien culture from the middle east.

It is the score. Defence is only allowed in self defence so Israel kills sufficient Palestinians till Hamas returns fire. Then Israel, the US Leaders, the UK leaders and others scream out that Israel has the right to defend herself completely omitting that Hamas were the ones defending themselves..

Not all Jews are Zionists. Many are anti zionists many more are her strongest critics. In the UK lumping all Jews with Israel is considered antisemetic.

I'm so naive! And here I was, thinking that Nobels are given for real, most significant achievements? According to you, Albert Einstein got his Nobel 'cos "Nobel prize committees prefer western scientists over those from other cultures"? :wall:

You can't. Because there simply is no God.

Congratulations! In the meantime, your Zionist friends have made anti-Semitism your shield behind which you can hide all possible crimes.

Who knows? There are more criminals in the world than only Zionists.

The West Bank was an agreement between Golda Meir, the UK and Jordan. The UK was against a Palestinian State but also did not think Israel should take the lot straight away. Meir said Jordan could take it 'for the time being'. The bit that proved a problem was when they came along and found Israel grabbing Jerusalem and ethnic cleansing the non Jews. Jordan and the Brits decided they would take East Jerusalem. Israel was not impressed.

RE: Now it's Israel's Independence Day
    ⁜→ pitbull, et al,

Military Strength, as a tool of diplomacy, is important to many countries for many different reasons. The cruelty implied by the term "barbarism" has nothing to do with military strength.

Israel is not always right in their approach to regional and global issues with which they must contend, but they are a damn sight better than any of the constituent members of the Arab League. In fact, Israel's outcomes are better than 80% of the member nations of the UN which take great sort in condemning Israel and promoting this propaganda like this little comment you make here. In fact, this is nothing less that disinformation and gross manipulation of the facts.

You say Barbarism! I say look at the facts and make your determination relative to Israel and its Human Development (mean years of schooling, expected years of schooling, life expectancy at birth and gross national income per capita).

BTW: Israel's military might is an adjuct to its diplomatic effort sustaining a stable regional and global environment to pursue it greater potential.

    (COMMENT)

I don't say much in this form, but occasionally I see something that is so "fundamentally wrong" → that I am compelled to speak up.

If you look at the HDI Composite Ranking, you will find that Israel is ranked #22 (out of 189 ranked countries) globally. AND It not only is ranked considerably high developmentally than any immediate neighbors, any and all members of the Arab League but it also outranks every single country in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Let's just look at a few of these countries that you suggest, through omission, are better in terms of culture and civilization:

    • Algeria,...........................Ranked #85
    • Bahrain,..........................Ranked #43
    • Djibouti,..........................Rank #172
    • Egypt, ............................Ranked #115
    • Iraq, ...............................Ranked #120
    • Iran,................................Ranked #60
    • Jordan,.......................... Ranked #95
    • Kuwait,...........................Ranked #56
    • Lebanon,....................... Ranked #80
    • Libya,............................ Ranked #108
    • Morocco,........................Ranked #123
    • Oman,.......................... Ranked #48
    • State of Palestine,........ Ranked #119
    • Qatar, ...........................Ranked #37
    • Saudi Arabia, ...............Ranked #39
    • Somalia, .......................NOT RATED
    • Sudan, .........................Ranked #167
    • South Sudan, ...............Ranked #187
    • Syrian Arab Republic,. .Ranked #155
    • Tunisia,........................ Ranked #95
    • United Arab Emirates,..Ranked #34
    • Yemen, ........................Ranked #178

You'll also note that every single state that has taken an act of aggression (some multiple times) are will below the developmental ranking of Israel.

When you look at Israel, in comparison to all the immediate surrounding nations, Israel is, without question, many time more civilized and cultured that one might expect, given the propaganda about what a terrible country Israel has turned out to be. THEN! I hear people like yourself suggest that you want to turn Israel (the absolute most successful nation in the region) over to the governing skill set that has produced some of the least successful nations in the world.

The Israel Defense Force (IDF) protects its citizenry, the sovereignty of the nation, and the territorial integrity against the intrusion by some of the most bloodthirsty people in the world. These are people that massacred Olympic Athletes, hijacked commercial aircraft and killed defenseless passengers, attacked and bomb various public places with intent to kill or cause serious injury, to the innocent, how captures a bus and lined up the passenger and machine-gunned them down (including that of a dozen children) → and then have the audacity to set memorials to them as martyrs to the cause. They argue that Israel does not have the right to defend themselves against the monsters they call patriots and defend their right to use any and all means to include the use of civilians to shield themselves from tactical engagements.

(ONE MORE THING BEFORE I GET OFF THE SOAPBOX)

Only in the minds of the most ignorant could the characterization of the Arab Palestinians be described as other than criminals acting directly against Israel with the intention of - or calculated to - cause death to innocent civilians to intimidate a population and to compel the Israel government to act that furthers the criminal objectives. They are a gang of cutthroat Jihadist, Fedayeen Activist, Hostile Insurgents, Radicalized Islamic Followers, and Asymmetric Fighters with a past criminal history that can genuinely be painted as either uncivilized or primitive animals that are unable and unwilling to follow the Principles of International Law concerning Friendly Relations and Co-operation among States. They should be, without question held accountable under:

Okay, so much propaganda material for Israel.

I do not deny that Israel is trying to be a venerable nation and to look even better. But they have made big mistakes in the past and learned nothing from it.

To this day, they're killing Palestinian natives like cattle, as if the Balfour Declaration had just been released yesterday. Zionism isn't progressing towards peace. It looks more like the situation would only escalate further.

No country is perfect. And no country has a forwards looking decision-making that is 100% accurate. No Norway and not Israel. But Israel tries.

Well, Israel making a mistake is not nearly as bad as being Palestinian aggravating and compundingthe mistake that only worsens the outcome on the Palestinians.

This was a thought-provoking answer. It was of such a nature and so stimulating that is demanded careful consideration before I might respond.

BLUF: Based on the Information I was able to gleen, I have to agree:

The rejection was heavily influenced by the principle Arab League principles to the conflict.

    (Moi621 SALIENT POINTS REORGANIZED)

◈ Aforementioned rejections influenced more by "Arab Brothers" (selected members of the Arab League) then by "Arab Palestinians" (the Arabs of Palestines → AKA: Inhabitants → AKA: Arab Indigenous Population)...

◈ Did the Arabs of Palestine ask Egypt to take dominion of Gaza?

◈ Did the Arabs of Palestine ask Jordan to take dominion of the area west of the river?

    (OBSERVATIONS)

CABLEGRAM DATED 18 MAY 1948 FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL ADDRESSED TO THE FOREIGN MINISTER OF TRANSJORDAN, AND REPLY THERETO DATED 20 MAY 1948

    (COMMENT)

I could find no direct evidence that a legitimate representative of the Arabs of Palestine had any serious influence on the decisions of the Arab League.

The Arab Higher Committee (AHC) announced the establishment of the All Palestine Government in Gaza (23 September 1948 ). (Sidebar: The All Palestine Government (APG) was dissolved in 1959 by the Egyptian Government).

The was no constructive voice promoting the agenda of the Arab Palestinians or their grassroot concern.

    Yes DEAR :blowkiss:

Where were the Palestinian Arabs whose nation others
    were discussing?

    @RoccoR
There is no Arab nation in ole Palestine
    and it ain't Israel's fault.
It is the fault of Arab brethren,
    etc.
Certainly an effort by Arabs would have made sure
the Arab state in Palestine was created.
    Instead they . . .

In brief the arabs came in because the Non Jewish Palestinians were being raped and killed and ethnically cleansed and their people were demanding they did something about it plus they had got wind of what Jordan was up to and wanted a bit of the cake too.

Nope; they even aren't aware of non-western scientists that possibly are genius like Einstein. Just think of Ramanujan. It was pure coincidence that this poor Indian mathematician became known for his genius in the western world.
