I guess technically, illegal aliens all committed crimes entering the country illegally. In most cases, that was their only crime. Why should those who commit additional crimes get preferential treatment?

I’m not in favor of an active effort to deport people who came here illegally but have otherwise followed our laws

Libs would have pardoned Charles Manson if they could.

There something in the liberal DNA that is attracted to lawbreakers and hates normal Americans who just go to work, pay their taxes, and raise their families.

It’s the result of a defective brain. Something went drastically wrong somewhere.

Trump was never a liberal. He just said things in order to not ruffle feathers in liberal NYC where he did most of his business.

Trump played the lefties to get want he wanted.

You think trump went from saying in 2012 that Hillary was the best Secretary of State ever, to wanting her in prison in 2016, just to pander?
You may be on to something!

No, I support prioritizing enforcement of illegal immigration for those who aren’t following our laws when they get here. I’d prefer we made it easier to immigrate legally.

Yet you made an argument for giving convicted criminals priority in this very thread. ICE deported more than 250K people last year. Why is it fair to give criminals preferential treatment?

Convicted criminals who entered legally as refugees and served their time. I don’t like punishing people who already served their debt.

That is a dodge. The question is why is it fair to spare those who committed a crime while deporting those who did not?

What difference does it make if Newsome pardons folks who have committed federal crimes? Perhaps Newsome will send money to New Mexico now since he's one of the reasons for their current burgeoning population of illegals...

Oh pardoning people who came legally as refugees and already paid their debt. That doesn’t say how I feel about anyone else but that specific scenario.

Which makes Newsom's "pardon" an imaginary "rebuke" to Trump.

My state has become a total embarrassment. Our cities are all going to the crapper, the standard of living is plummeting, meanwhile the rest of the nation is thriving.

    It's called Democrat Party rule.

Now I have one of my best friends moving to Idaho and another to Alabama. After my son graduates from High School, I am going to make my beach house an Air BNB and move my residency one of the following states: Idaho, Alabama, Florida, or Texas. I am not sure yet, but I will come and go to Huntington Beach, CA when I want and make the house a profit center when I am not there.

Well, apparently it is different if the perpetrator is a republican. Take Roy Moore as an example. The dude is a pedophile and republicans supported him. Trump and his evil spawn all act as though the law doesn't apply to them and Republicans shrug it off and look the other way when we know their heads would explode if a Democrat was guilty of half the felonious, nefarious activities carried out by team Trump. I guess its just another case of Retrumplican Selective Outrage combined with a big dose of Retrumplican hypocrisy.
