Angry Trump slams Democrats' investigations after cutting infrastructure meeting short

I notice you Trumpites don't have an answer to the question about how will we get things done if the Orange Oaf won't talk to House Democrats.

 

It is very simple. The House proposes a bill....they pass a bill....they send it to The Senate....the Senate passes the bill....the President signs the bill or vetoes it. If he vetoes it, 2/3 of the House and Senate vote to over-ride his veto. No talking between the House and the President is needed. Pretty simple stuff, really.

Well that's an easy answer. You should have asked me earlier.

The House gets together and does this thing called a "Bill". Then they bounce it over to the senate.

There's a bunch of voting and stuff, I won't bore you with the details.

When they're done, they send it to the POTUS to sign it or veto it.

Very true, however Republicans will not pass an infrastructure bill. That's a Democratic priority that could only pass if Trump twisted Republican senator's arms. This means Trump is abandoning his campaign promise to invest $550B in infrastructure.

In the past, I could honestly see the attraction of "promises made, promises kept" - despite my disagreeing with his policies and questioning his judgment, this seems a positive thing for his supporters. But 2.5 years into his Presidency, it looks like he's run out of gas.

 

Well, it has worked for over 200 years and has worked quite well on thousands of bills where the House, Senate, and President did not "coordinate" before the bill was passed in Congress.....unless you are under the impression that Congress and the President coordinate on every bill considered.

Why do you believe that Repubs would not pass a infrastructure bill? They have always been fairly supportive of them in the past. If the Dems come up with a plan that would make the Repubs look foolish by passing it up, it could be a big win for them.

 

Yes we have knowledge of basic government stuff.

The left should give it a try.
