Yeah, I can't see BHO even getting an official reprimand. As with many of the others (Lois Lerner, Eric Holder) his actions will be exposed but they'll soon be forgotten. Some of the lesser functionaries, given the scope of these wrongdoings, will get the majority of the punishment.

There are 4 events that terminate a presidency legally - death, impeachment with guilty verdict in the Senate, Application of the 25th amendment or an election loss. Any other action aimed at terminating a presidency would be treason in my view. If I were the democrats, I would concentrate on the 2020 election. The other three simply aren't going to happen.

 

I agree. I think that when all is said and done it will play out pretty much along those lines. The worst that will happen where the political Left is concerned is a combination of the permanent trashing of Barack Obama's official image as a political saint and another full exoneration of Donald Trump across the board.

What I find interesting is that the Left had absolutely no problem with certain Dem Party politicians calling Trump a traitor and someone working for Putin -- which would make him a traitor -- and yet the very same leftists cheering on that sort of messaging from their leadership want to have a collective aneurysm over Liz Cheney pointing out that plotting to take down a legally elected president by illegally manipulating the justice system is both a soft coup attempt and potentially the actions of traitors. Now suddenly the political Left doesn't endorse such . . . talk or terminology.

 

1) There was no "soft coup" attempt.

2) There was no "treason" (except on the part of Trump).

3) Cheney even using the term "coup" brands her as a RW Tinfoil Hat Looney Tune (completely unworthy of being taken seriously).

 

Surveillance with a warrant signed by a judge is legal. If Obama personally ordered people to spy on Trump or anyone else without obtaining a warrant, that would be illegal and therefore criminal. Is there any credible evidence suggesting that it happened? If so, please cite evidence.

Yes there most definitely was a soft coup attempt. The only question remains is how far up the Obama administration era ladder the political collusion went.
