....The Bible teaches us in 1 Timothy 2:2-3 to pray for those in authority, “that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.” And I have prayed for presidents of both parties. I’ve actually prayed with several presidents. But in this case, I agree with Franklin that “in the history of our country, no president has been attacked as he has.” President Trump’s enemies have tried everything to destroy him, his family and his presidency. Regardless of partisan or political differences, this is wrong. Yes, we all recognize the president is a fighter and he fights back. Yet he — and we —have to understand “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).”....https://stream.org/sundays-special-day-prayer-president-trump/ It is wise to pray for our leaders in our country be they school board, city council, county board of supervisors, or state and national leadership. In fact believers are instructed to do so. And it doesn’t matter that we didn’t vote for them.
No matter our beliefs we should put our God first and follow His command to pray for our national leaders for their safety and wisdom in their lives and decision making.
And I prayed real hard from Jan 20,2009 to Jan 20,2017. The prayers were easier to do prior to Jan 2009 and after Jan 2017.
So you prayed for an economic meltdown in 2007 and for an idiot to be elected in 2017. Guess your prayers were answered.
I thanked God we averted electing an idiot since Nov9 2016. I prayed that God would give Bush the wisdom to get us through the worst of the downturn before he left office and those prayers were answered.
You prayed that Trump would successfully pay off porn stars and keep them quiet so he could be elected President. You prayed that Bush would increase the debt 101% so that he could bail out the financial industry.
The problem people who pray have is they're confused over who is god. A lot of them think trump is their god.
No point praying for Trump anyway. Not even the theology of Christ’s suffering for our supposed redemption can save him.
Mostly they have been preying for him to get a clue and stop lying, and cheating, and bragging and.......
Unfortunately, this man goes against almost everything your God supposedly stands for, has broken most of his commandments and clearly does not believe in him regardless...but so be it, I just said a prayer and expect the same results as usual.
Well said! I try to remember to pray for President Trump a lot and like you... I did also pray for President Obama and all other USA Presidents since the late '70's or early '80's. I have a theory on why the media is so enthusiastic to get him. He is scaring a segment of the population who have a great deal of influence over the media. Did going bankrupt in '91 prepare Mr. Trump for the Presidency?
yeah, obama got elected. God works in mysterious ways. Luckily for him, all Trump's "fellow christian" followers have given him a perpetual pass for his sins, both past and present and no doubt, future.
Trump can pray for the salvation of his own soul when Putin appoints him Venerable Patriarch of St Petersburg.
