I would oppose the use of AI in government.
There will be humans on the planet until the day it ends. Who knows maybe global warming is a sign of the end times. After all it is going to be burned up.

I should of said "human jobs"

yes, government jobs may exist, but many will be replace by AI, even government may be dependent on AI though

once AI is smart enough to design itself, the growth of AI will be exponential

the worst case will be war fought with AI, or maybe it will be a paradise with robots doing all the work... time will tell

So ... messing up a country and destroying the complete govermental and administrative system, then leaving and let the destroyed nation to sort out it by their own ... nice!

Hopefully the Iran has a nuclear bomb and will nuke the USA somehow as thank you for this democratical teaching of what the world is over to get by the impudent Washington.

Are you kidding? You have the biggest military budget on the planet with 650 billion USD ... more as the next 10 nations in ranking together spend in ,military together ... but your military is underfunded?

    I get a laugh atack ...

It seems that the reason the US has pulled back from its intended massacres here, is because Europe told them a very definite no support from them. So no win for the US.

The Saud's have been calling conferences even trying to make friends with Qatar to get everyone against Iran. The belief of those countries seems to be if they get started the ME will be on fire.

Having the most bombs is not the only thing needed to win wars and countries who have forgotten diplomacy and become so war mongering that all they do is threaten genocide on other countries, probably do not have long to have any influence on the planet. Countries will eventually gang up against this behavior.

The ME will be on fire if the US and Israel goes after Iran.

    Ergo, step back, Iran.

In fact, here the Saudis are the driving force against Iran ... along with Israel. Both are pushing the US for a war against Iran ... and if a deep Arab country like Saudi Arabia is prepared to give Israeli jets the chance to overrun Saudi Arabia for air raids against Iran, then it speaks the volumes!

The fact that Iran alone has no chance in a normal conventional war against the US, everyone on this planet knows ... even if the US can imagine it all very simple and one can have the impression that many Americans believe that Iran is still armed with bows and arrows or the like.

Only such a war is not normal, because as soon as the US attacks Iran, at least the Hezbollah will commit terrorist attacks against the US and allies worldwide. And as for the war itself, which is bloody ... even for the US, because no simple military walk as against the already castrated Saddam 2003 .... who could bite here even more violent than in 1991!

The problem is in the aftermath of the victory ... because if the US is as incompetent as it is in Iraq, then the serious question is whether the majority of Iranians, even if they oppose the mullahs, even through the US want to be freed from the mullahs!
That's the choice that Iranians should make, which is not easy. Under mullahs, they live safely, if suppressed, but they know the rules of the game ... without the mullahs, they live in the mad house as Iraqis once did, thanks to US incompetence. I do not believe that the Iranians here want to choose a deadly freedom!

And when some smarties tell me that only the military victory over the mullahs is the mission of the United States and everything is not up to the US ... then that also speaks volumes about the ignorance and hypocrisy of the United States, for taking responsibility of own acting!

You are right that the US is not that keen on a war with Iran. I understand that the military tend to think of the end game as well. ;) US support for bombing Iran seems to come more from the Christian Zionists in the US - Bolton and Pompeo being two and Trump, who everyone seems sure does not want war has them as his base.

It will be simple for the initial bombings almost certainly. However we know the best weapons in the world do not win wars. Look at the Saud's in Yemen - and there they do have feet on the ground, I think from the UAE, though what was Blackwater is there as well.

Much more. From my reading we are likely to see Shia uprisings - no doubt one of the reasons the Saud's have been killing them for protesting for human rights. Let's look at the position of the Shia in the middle east

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shia_Muslims_in_the_Arab_world

That is what some people conveniently forget. Not only is Iran a much bigger country with far more people than Iraq it has a lot of friends both of the Hezbollah sort and others.

Well remember according to people here, the US is not intending on moving in. That seems to be what I read and the reaction to that is that it is exceedingly unlikely the US will find the targets it wants - certainly all of them and the consequences of that will be a nuclear armed Iran, tout de suite even though they believe it is against Islam.

Well I have heard that the people in no way want to be under the influence of the US and this has as people said at the beginning it would, made the hard liners in Iran more strong. If any American's are believing the Iranians want them to come and 'save' them they are crazy. They are well aware of who is trying to create civil war in Iran and starve the people to death. I heard a few years ago that what stopped the Iranians in their revolution was watching how the outside world particularly the US/West, interfered in other countries who tried this. Had that not been the case they might have done that already but I hear Iranians do not want American's any way near organizing their lives. I also hear that if the US does try an invasion they will have no chance of winning. This is an enormous country and the people are highly motivated to protect it. It is thought it may be like Vietnam. Hardly surprising the US does not want to go in.

It does...and it happens again and again. What was Einsteins quote on insanity again? mmmmmm

Containment of Iran with close surveillance
and Maintaining sanctions are the best course of actions.
Then we just make 4 things clear.
    1. We will not allow them to become nuclear.
    2. They need to stop funding terrorism
    3. They need to recognize Israels right to exsist as a free and independent state.
    4. Not speak or act in a threatening manner to the rest of the world.

Sounds pretty simple to me. Iran could easily become an important and fruitful member of the international community. Maybe even a leader in it.

I still oppose any action against Iran. However if they shoot first we should destroy their military capability and their leadership capabilities. The blame??? Would fall squarely on the Iranian government.

If a cop tries to arrest you and you shoot at them then you die in a gunfight and your kids starve to death because you aren't there to feed them yeah. That's your fault not the cops.

America's children are going to have to live for quite some time to overcome the history of those who came before them who destroyed countries and mass murdered people because they did not believe it was right for another people to come in ethnic cleanse and take their land.

Given that I hear that quite a few Americans believe that it is Palestine occupying Israel I guess they will also be amazed that it really does say their people were educated.

There may be other reasons for the US not wanting to make a ground invasion of Iran than just being frightened of them fighting more like terrorists - given that that is what the US has called them'

This article in Off Guardian makes very clear that without Iraq there can be no ground invasion and more than that illustrates the very weakened position of the States for support for even an air war.

Iraq of course has asked for war reparations from the US for going to war with them to apparently get rid of WMD's which did not exist and they have recently voted for the US Military to leave Iraq.

    https://off-guardian.org/2019/05/27/the-geography-of-war-no-iraq-no-iran/

It goes on to discuss the dangers and difficulties not just to any conceivable ground war but also to an air war. I can see why the US is backing down.

Like I said a few post back
It looks like they now have your number.

    1. That's good
    2 yes they are.
    3. News to me but maybe you are right
    4. They supply terrorists with weapons to atrack Israel.
Hezbollah rockets Israel regularly. That makes them terrorists.

Now if your argument is that Israel deserves to be attacked because they are the aggressor. Then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Hezbollah does not regularly bomb Israel. They are fighting ISIS in Syria and had the nerve to fight Israel to a draw in it's 2006 invasion of Lebanon proving that the American backed dream of greater Israel may not be invincible or inevitable after all. An act which earned it the undying hatred of Israel and of course their toadies in the US.

Israel's toadies huh? I can think of worse things. Being a French toady would be pretty bad. Being an Iranian toady would be horrible. Being a Chinese toady. That would be bad too. Being a UN toady thatd be immoral. Being a liberal toady. Better off red, oh wait, same thing.

Yes, Hamas does lob glorified fireworks into Israel on occasion. They generally kill almost nobody and trigger an Israeli response that kills Palestinian civilians at a rate of 10 to 1.

Not a smart strategy in my opinion.

You make the same mistake so many of the left make, equating spending with actual defense. You compare apples with oranges. Do our adversaries pay their defense workers like we do? Our billion buys a lot fewer gizmos than that same billion spent in Russia or China for the equivalent gizmo. It is not how much they spend but how much they buy with the loot.

Yes, they said exactly the same thing pre-Iraq, 2003. They promised the "Shock & Awe" attack on Baghdad would win the war overnight. It's now been 16 long, painful years, and we still have troops there. Senator Tom Cotton is an idiot. :(

You accuse someone else of spreading "fake news" - when what they are saying is true - then go on and spout a bunch of fake nonsense.

"moral imperative" ? Only an extremely naive soul believes that nonsensical platitude. US foreign policy has nothing to so with "moral imperatives" such as freedom, liberty, democracy and everything to do with economic hegemony.

How is arming and supporting Al Qaeda - and others of the same ilk who went on to kill Christians and other marginalized religious groups en mass - in Syria upholding those moral imperatives ? - an action which resulted in the death of 500,000 people, the refugee crisis, the destruction of Syria, the slaughter of Christians and other groups, and the rise of the modern incarnation of ISIS.

    Do explain.

The rest of your post is also nonsensical unsupported gibberish but you can start with the above.
