The US did not want Iraq to have WMDs, they simply did not wish them to lose the war. don't try to make this into something else. Anthrax is exported for legitimate medical purposes, it's not like the US was supplying sarin or plutonium etc

Which countries export Anthrax for medical purposes and to where and what is the value of this export?

They did. They helped them out with everything.
Iraq started it! And the US supported it all to make Iran loose for being a sovereign nation when they kicked out the American installed regime in Iran.
The US supplied anything they needed to get Iraq win that war. It's just retarded to hide behind the dual use of all kinds of things, when the entire world knew Iraq was using it for their WMD war, with American military intelligence. And since you mention sarin,... that was sold by the Germans, as well as mustard gas. 1027 tons of it.

Yes of course Iraq started it but not at the US's urging, the dual use 'thing' is called reality as was the case in with the German chemicals. If I buy petrol from you at the petrol station and use it to burn down a church it doesn't make you an accessory to a hate crime?

Yes, one of them tortured then murdered a prisoner in his custody, the other was a whistleblower who released information about the crimes of the U.S. government. Clearly there is no comparison, though I doubt you mean it in the same way.

Also, I know the right wing has devolved into a immoral sideshow of militaristic white-supremacist chauvinism, but even you guys must still think murder should be illegal, right? I mean I know the victim was Muslim, and you all hate Muslims, but even you guys must think murder is wrong even when it is done to Muslims? Or are things even worse than I thought?

Or we're not sectarian or racist at all but just have empathy with this combat soldier in this most taxing of situations.

Most people who murder others are in taxing situations. Serial killers are probably an exception, but otherwise, almost all murder happens under taxing situations. Why is that an excuse?

Because we expect our soldiers to take risks and endure hardships we expect no one else to.

Germany did not sell Sarin and Mustard gas to Iraq.

We sold chemicals that can be used to exterminate vermin.

If a terrorist buy an Mercedes and drives into a cowd do you say we support terrorism?

So what? Seriously, I'm not being flippant. By your standards, you could then excuse all soldiers from all wrong-doing. I mean take your position to its logical extreme ends and thing about it. The SS did murder millions of innocent civilians, but we "expect our soldiers to take risks and endure hardships we expect no one else to." That is not even remotely a legitimate justification for murder, unless we simply want there to be no rules of engagement, which would be a disaster for humanity.

So what? We're not talking about the brutal pre-planned massacre of innocent civilians, we're talking about one guy who says the prisoners lunged at him and tried to take his pistol and we have no evidence to the contrary. We should give him the benefit of the doubt.

"Guys, the person I was torturing lunged at my gun *wink *wink." It is stunning that anyone is dumb enough to believe that bull ****. You lose the right to the benefit of the doubt as soon as the torturing starts. Which is exactly why this guy was convicted in the first place. I mean soldiers killing people is a reasonably regular occurrence and almost none of them go to prison for it. There is a reason this guy did.

We have no evidence to the contrary, I think you just WANT to believe he's guilty.

Are you kidding me? I serve with a weapon and i can tell you...if a prisoner is found dead, stripped naked and i tell them he died while i interogated him and then he jumped at me so i shot him, i would be jailed 25 years over here.

But should you? Or should we have empathy with you given that there is no evidence to the contrary?

I dont know. I would propably break out in laughter when putting up that story.

There is zero room for speculation when an unarmed person is shot dead.

Well his name is know and there is his family.

If i were the family of the iraqi, i would not let that go. hats for sure.

When the entire world knows that a person burns down churches over and over with using petrol, and you sell the petrol to that person, and give it the intel on churches,.... than you're fully part of the burning of them churches.

Do you understand the concept of "being fully complicit"?
It sounds like your IQ is too low for it.

You sure went fast from, Germany did not sell this to... ah we did, but we didn't know.

    /facedesk.

The entire world knew. It was discussed at the UN. German firms never backed down.

Not to worry Rumsfelt shook Saddams hands for a job well done after a couple of months of gassing people around.
