I dunno that I agree with that.

I think that it was more like a business decision. The migrants pay the cartels, the cartels bribe the officials, plus money gets spent along the way for food and transportation.

All Trump had to do was increase the cost of doing business; beyond the migrants ability to pay.

Has anybody actually read the “deal” put out? It’s even more toothless than the North Korean “deal” that you all celebrated as being a huge victory. An agreement to take on people waiting for asylum into the US, which they already agreed to do LAST November, and a commitment to sending down 6,000 troops to their southern border which they have also been periodically doing already. Seems to be a bunch of posters on here who just believe Trump after he claims victory without even combing through the reality of any agreement he clamors about.

Name calling is against the forum rules. Read up.
Are you pissed because Trump is making progress in spite of the petulant little "resisters"?

This forum has completely gone to ****, the mods have forsaken the rules.

By the way, congratulations on undermining your own argument about forum rules in literally the next sentence. You all are hypocritical losers.

The economy isn't on the line. We have an agreement and no additional tariffs.

Migrants are a money maker for the cartels. In this case it seemed like it was something that cartels and the Mexican government benefited from.

There is more to come, and all the while the wall is being built.

On the other hand this is catastrophic news for the left.

Why not address his points, instead of the name calling?

    Here they are again...

Yeah, yeah, that’s what you all said about the Chinese trade deal and the North Korean deal. Where’s the Chinese trade deal which was going to be so easy to win, where’s North Korea’s denuclearization? You celebrate something because you think it “slams the libs”, and we’re here laughing our asses off at you celebrating nothing because you guys, like our President, have the attention span of a goldfish.

Because he didn’t address mine. Ya’ll think you can just interject about random **** and then clamor about how it’s on the other person to fully drop any other thread topic to address your random interjections.

I don't think anyone said it would be easy, which is why nobody has had the guts to try until Trump. I'd rather the author of "The Art of the Deal" try it than a community organizer.

For the Trumpsters, it's Trump who dictates the definition of things.

When Trump tells you that what is happening at the border is a national emergency, even if 61% of Americans say otherwise, you will believe him without checking the facts.

That is why you consider it a great victory that he has put the country's economy at risk just to get Mexico to deploy 6,000 more troops at the border.

we will see if Trump agrees with you, doubt it, he might rant it, but when he gets the price tag and feed back from republican, he will again change his mind

He never signed a deal. There was a framework and an agreement to work on one but one hasn’t been done yet. Largely due to Kim thinking he was still dealing with someone like Obama and asking for way more then the current president would give

Trust is difficult in the land of cartels but doubt they want to annoy Trump either.

yep, I am hearing Trump did not pull that one off, this is more of a lesser save face deal with no real meat in it for anyone

there is no teeth in this bill, how do we keep Mexico and Trump to honor the agreement, what if Trump doesn't increase speed and capacity of asylum seekers requests like he promised in the deal
