Worrying leads to preparation, preparation leads to prevention, prevention leads to reducing the problem. Once the problem is reduced, complacency will cause it to return.

If rape isn't a big problem, its probably because theres a lot of people still worrying about it.

Nice rant but that doesn’t change the fact that they clearly live in an area where rape is a concern.

Thats why a lot of people keep their kids closeby in public. Are you suggesting that adults shouldn't have guns because kids cant have guns?

Also, I never said anything about expect. No one should carry a gun that doesnt want to. I don't expect anyone to arm themselves. I do however recomend it.

Rape could be a 'concern' on an uninhabited island. That doesn't mean its happening a lot, just that someone is worried about it anyway.

Vigilance is important whether a problem is rare or commonplace.

Seems you don’t know what ‘uninhabited’ means.

Many people fantacise about shooting would be aggressors. In reality, justifiable homicide is about 30 times rarer then criminal homicide and 100 times rarer then suicide.

Life is not a video game.

Many LGBT people commit suicide at a rate twice that of strait people.

People with depression commit suicide much more then non-depressed people.

Are you sure you want to play the 'literally correct' game?

I'll start: an inhabitant typically refers to a resident, not a visitor. A person day-tripping on an uninhabited island would not be an inhabitant. If that person were worried about being raped, rape would be a worry on that island, even though rape is not a problem on that island, since theres only one person there.

    Shall we continue?

Guns stop crime in Action movies and Video Games. In real life, guns are much more likely to be used in murder and suicide.

    I'm not suggesting anything...

I'm asking how a gun is going to help kids stay safe.

Sounds like your answer is kids/teens can never be on their own, their parents have to be with them 24/7 with a loaded gun at the ready.

Theres no such thing as entirely safe. Only relative degrees of safe. A kid is safer with an attentive parent nearby. Safer still with an armed attentive parent nearby. But kids themselves shouldn't have guns because they dont have developed decision making skills. Adults do. Most kids would not be safe at all carrying guns.

The two extremes when it comes to gun control are both pushed by morons.....

On one side you have people who want to ban all guns, thinking that it will magically do away with guns in the hands of criminals.....

On the other side you have people who want guns to be completely deregulared, and equates even the most sensible regulations to be a ploy to take their guns away....

These two groups are so loud that they drown out any moderate voices when would push for sensible gun policy.

A lot of people whose life is endangered, or have reason to believe it is, will fire more than one shot.

Libs say taxpayers should pay for abortions because it's a constitutional right. Libs say ID cards should be free because voting is a constitutional right. What do you think they would say about having the government supply women with a gun since it's a constitutional right? After all, it's women empowerment.

You realize that taxes DON"T pay for abortions right? Because it's illegal. Can you cite one prominent democrat pushing to repeal the Hyde Amendment?

Liberals say that ID card should not be so expensive that poor people can't get them, if you are gonna require them for voting. Oh and states shouldn't be allowed to shut down all of the license branches in poor and minority parts of their state, like Alabama tried to do.

Did I say taxes are being used? No! I said Libs think taxes should be used. One prominent Democrat? :roflol:OMG, you don't pay much attention do you?
Most of the DNC candidates support repeal.

Except for those circumstances and cases where it is not actually a choice, but rather a necessity.

Why exactly is such proving to be so difficult for yourself to understand?

Name the geographical locations of the united states where violent crime simply does not occur, and where the public does not need to be concerned about such.
