The science of gestation for each of the semesters enabled the SCOTUS to make RATIONAL and LOGICAL decisions as to exactly how a woman's rights can be REGULATED. 80% of miscarriages occur in the first trimester and rarely require any medical intervention which is why the right to an abortion is absolute in the first trimester. 2nd trimester miscarriages and abortions require medical intervention which is why it was reasonable to allow states to regulate the medical abortion service providers in the same manner that they regulate ALL other medical service providers. Third trimester miscarriages and abortions occur because of SERIOUS medical complications that can affect the life and/or health of the the pregnant woman. That was why the SCOTUS ruled that the woman's right to an abortion for those reasons could NEVER be denied.

Republicans want women dead even if the child CAN"T be saved. These laws include pregnancies that are going through miscarriages, when there is a 100% chance the child will die. They have made it illegal to terminate the pregnancy, even if a dangerous miscarriage threatens the mother. As long as the fetus is technically alive terminating the pregnancy is illegal.

Then why didn't any of these laws include an exception for non-viable pregnancies? It's illegal in Mississippi for a doctor to terminate a pregnancy in which is it certain the child will die if it the complications occur after six week. So if a pregnancy goes into a dangerous miscarriage after 6 weeks, and the pregnancy endangers the patient, even if it's clear that the patient will die if the pregnany isn't terminated, doctors are not allowed to do anything. That is how the law in Mississippi was written, and that is why it's going to be struck down by the supreme court.
