Strange how this hasn’t happened in any other country with single payer

The profiteers don't mind consigning the highest-cost demographic to the government, of course.

Incrementally expanding the risk pool to incorporate lower-cost demographics would, inevitably, lower the cost. That's an actuarial certitude, but the vested-interest, superfluous middlemen and their ideological dupes are in denial of that empirical reality.

The chart reflects spending per person is no reflection on the health of the Medicare program.
The thing to notice from the chart is a 64 year old only costs $4,000 dollars. This is a bargain when you compare it to private insurance of equivalent quality.

People paing for the silver plan pay $1200.00 a month with private insurance so I'm not sure how you are figuring that when they also are paying for low income subsided people. Not sure how that works out per person.
As for health of medicare program I agree the chart is not accurate because the true cost is not reflected in it. Medicarer is going broke because it cost more than it brings in.

Sure it has but you only hear of the glowing pronouncements, not the actual issues with long wait times, delayed care which causes more problems, and unavailable procedures and equipment due to cost.

Medicare is a creation of government not of private insurance companies.

No, it hasn’t. All the data shows single payer is superior to our system. It shows quality of care is better, provided more efficiently and at a fraction of our cost.

Subsidies are paid for from taxes, not from the insurance. So $1200 is $1200.
But to be fair the $4,000 in 2019 insurance dollars is more like $9500.

Nope, right here in reality. But you righties are forced to detach yourselves from reality, and completely ignore actual data because it shatters your ideology.

Of course. Its bureaucrats are answerable to the People, not to shareholders.

Albeit now restricted to the highest-cost age demographic, within that government-imposed limitation, Medicare covers 60 million Americans, and shares the inclusiveness and incumbent efficiencies of every advanced nation on earth that is achieved at half the cost of the failed US approach that is perpetuated by profiteering special interests and their ideological dupes.

LOL, a paper on a 'new' way to measure efficiency complete with algorithms I bet you don't even understand.

Looks like you didn’t read it. I’m not surprised. It destroys your ideology so you are forced to ignore it.

Of course I do. It’s a peer reviewed paper supporting my argument, and destroys yours. You didn’t read it, or you did and have to ignore what it says, because it crushes your ideology. This is a common theme among righties and trumpers. Reality tends to conflict with your beliefs.

That's medicare reimbursement not public cost.
It does not reflect HHS budget, collection of premiums(taxes), out of pocket costs for the patient, physical.and tech infrastructure costs, federal employee compensation and benefit costs, anti fraud costs which private companies spend a lot more on, healthcare tax that private companies pay, or Obamacare tax that individuals pay.

    Thanks for your dishonesty
