I was in a dispute for over a year with my mortgage company. They would call from India and scream at me (with heavy accents), saying I owed $2,500. I told them about 20 times I didn’t owe it. Finally I got an American woman on the phone in their Milwaukee, WI office. She looked at the account for 15 seconds and apologized to me. She confirmed I didn’t owe the $2,500.
Trump is a Lame Duck President................. America has his number Can't wait for the Pic when he's booked
What’s Aus India bilateral trade... under $20bln US? Probably another couple hundred years, before Aus enters big boys league and reaches some serious numbers?
You would be surprised Meanwhile good news for our farmers and of course China will just plant more apple trees in Africa which they have just about bought wholesale
You mean they would suddenly grow some ethics and reinvest that tax break? Excuse me while I LMAO. You saw the post from the other member on this board bragging about importing cheap Asian material knowing that it was sweat shop labour producing it. Meanwhile your farmers are going to take another hit
Like this? “I will not stand by when our competitors don’t play by the rules. We’ve brought trade cases against China at nearly twice the rate as the last administration – and it’s made a difference. Over a thousand Americans are working today because we stopped a surge in Chinese tires. But we need to do more. It’s not right when another country lets our movies, music, and software be pirated. It’s not fair when foreign manufacturers have a leg up on ours only because they’re heavily subsidized.”
It's weird to see all of these violent leftists wishing for the US to ship even more jobs overseas. I have a hard time reconciling that stance with those same people complaining about income inequality when manufacturing is what build the middle class in the US to start with. So which one is it? Do you want more jobs shipped overseas or do you want to remedy income inequality? It's one or the other.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Australia. Good shoes, good meat, good.... is there anything else Australia is famous for?
Of course. It is painful to reverse bad deals and right the wrong. But we can take it and do it, all in the name of fair trade. At the end of a day, farmers will understand and see Trump is doing it for them. Why should America bend over and grab the ankles every time someone threatens us?
"India is hitting the United States with more tariffs" time for Trump do ban US companies from foreign outsourcing to India due to national security reasons, not good for one country to control all our data and infrastructure we need to do it now, or in the future, India will be too big to fail and we will have to bow to them or they will just turn us off with the flip of a switch
Quite a few call centers have already relocated to Ireland. There are now probably as many in the Philippines as India. Lower corporate taxes and friendlier business climate. India has potential far beyond outsourced call center work. Indian people are friendly but government corruption is holding the country back. Not being close allies with the USA is a huge mistake.
It would be a business decision. The company I work for went in big for Indian call centers several years ago, but had to pull back because often Indian "English" is unintelligible.
Really? When thier debt spirals they will love Trump? https://www.rollcall.com/news/opinion/grimmer-day-farmers-love-trump-peril All it needs is one of the Democrat candidates to swing by those rural seats and start listening
What needs to be done to make the Trumpsters understand that the US is no longer competitive in certain sectors of the economy? Have you not yet understood that the main cause of the negative trade balance is the American consumer? How Trump intends to force the Americans to buy a majority of products made in US ?.... He doesn't do it himself. Explain that to me.
