41 seats is the most seats picked up by Democrats since Watergate. 9.8 million vote margin of victory is the single largest in US history. Losing 2 seats while having 26 on the chopping block (including 5 seats in states that Trump won by double digits) meant that it is possible to flip the senate two years later. And the most vocal freshmen democrats have helped to ensure that Democrats maintain a significant generic ballot advantage over Republicans.
Polling in 2018 suggested that Democrats would win by 7.9%. They won by 8.1%. So yea, polling is pretty accurate.
Trump is actively pursuing a strategy of everything is free by increasing spending massively and cutting revenue massively. That's why this past month saw a record high federal budget deficit and this year is expected to be 15% higher than last year. Bet that bit of "free everything with cherry on top" doesn't bother you in the slightest huh?
nc I will remind you that Clinton lost 'massively' both the House AND the Senate in 1994 and Obama lost 'massively' in two elections going from a super majority of Democrats to Republicans holding both houses. So don't think Republicans losing the house was any kind of discredit to President Trump. The GOP lost the house strictly because of Paul Ryan and gutless, feckless Republicans who played politics more than they did their jobs. President Trump doesn't need any new ideas. From the beginning he ran on a vision of an America that all true Americans can embrace and laid out a set of goals and objectives that would help accomplish it. Goals and objectives that no President could hope to accomplish in a short eight years, but was an excellent start on restoring all the great things that has made America the great nation that it is. And he has kept his campaign promises and accomplished more in two and a half years than any President in my lifetime. His speech last night was a reassuring stay the course speech. And tens of millions of us now trust him to do that and want him to do that.
Funny. Obama got elected twice by pretending to be a Republican ... interesting theory you got there.
Trump has spent over two trillion fake dollars (borrowed money) just in his first two years. He's on track to match Obama's reckless spending ... and he doesn't even have the excuse of starting his tenure in a recession.
Cool, so we have around 6 trillion left in the bank. Damn brah, he is frugal compared to Mr Obatard the sweepstakes winner!
Of course when the democrats and socialists do the same thing to him it is perfectly alright. And they don't see the double standard in this.
Picked up by DEMOCRATS. Interesting. Seeing how they lost so many seats under Obama, that's not really much of a success is it? But sure, you guys keep running at the windmill.
Ya it's catchy with a lot of conversation with Leftist, sort like when you see a adult making weird baby talk to new born! I'll try and be more attune from here on out now that I know I've been doing it while posting, thanks
Well least they taught us that inaction is the best policy. Or we could say filling seats with a moron majority while things are progressing swimmingly IS A GOOD THING
