President Donald Trump raised a staggering $24.8 million in 24 hours on the day he officially announced he was running for re-election.

...The number includes the $14 million raised by the Trump campaign and the more than $10 million raised by Trump Victory, the joint fundraising committee with the RNC.

The campaign had set a $7 million goal for Trump’s kickoff rally day in order to top Democrat primary challengers record fundraising earlier in the year. Former Vice President Joe Biden made headlines for raising $6.3 million on his first day and Beto O’Rourke raised $6.1 million on his first day. Sen. Bernie Sanders brought $5.9 million.

Trump's campaign is off to a strong start after his rally in Orlando last night.

He managed to raise 25 million, which dwarfs democrat candidates.

The DNC is actually taking out loans I've read.

GOOD Now maybe he will begin paying the bills overhanging him from his 2016 campaign and his rally's since then.

I wonder if Trump will bother to use all these campaign donations to run ads this time around? ;-)

    Impressive.

I wonder how the food truck folks fared at the rally. They probably didn’t vote for him but just had their best week ever.

At this point, he could run ads of democrat candidates in their own words and profit.

This is good news. A lot of people either have lots of faith in Trump, doubts about the democrats, or both.

As we get closer to the election I'll probably be opening my checkbook and sending something to Trump - if anyone my support, he does.

What are you babbling about? Hillary and the Russians are thick as thieves. She paid them for lies about Trump. That fact is NOT in question. Worry about your PM...

Priceless. Trump fans giving their hard earned money to the multi-billionaire, who pretended to self-fund his campaign. $25 million should be nothing to him, so why does he need your money?

Second, they should better save their money in preparation for a rainy day. If Trump gets reelected, it is highly likely that he will preside over the next recession. Then, many Trump fans will lose their jobs, and the GOP will try to cut their unemployment benefits, like they tried to do during the 2009 downturn. You have been warned.

Trump won the WH without running any TV or radio ads. That probably helped him - a lot. ;-)

My worst "rainy days" were the Obama years, and everything I'm hearing from the left's candidates sounds even worse economically.

If we should be saving for any "rainy day" it will be the "rainy day" when we elect one of these Democrats and they start taxing us to death to pay for their miscellaneous free sh*t promises.

    Agreed.

I'd also like to see Trump push more more American science and engineering degrees, vs the lesbian dance study majors of today in academia.

I would have signed up for lesbian dance studies if it had been an option.
Sure sounds more interesting than an engineering course. Would have probably helped Trump get elected.
