That seems vindictive. Prosecute and incarcerate him after he loses, that should be enough.

Last I checked they were still Americans. I invite you to eschew any of their food and commerce. You'll pay $5 for your next orange and well over a hundred grand for your next compact car.

Whilst we can quibble over semantics he didn't recommend any charges.

Doesn't look that way to me. Not interested in "your" "single payer" crap. The premiums would be excessive.

It would seem that the Dems have finally come to terms with the reality that Republicans will NEVER break with Trump and thus impeachment is off the table for obvious reasons. Pelosi and company have apparently decided they can beat him at the polls and then allow the return to normal justice department function to do its job, which will take care of TrumpCo. instead. Likely that January the SDNY process will begin and the new DOJ will also step in....Uncle Donny gonna spend his time in a federal Maro Lago, with his Kids.

Yes but unlikely, if anything does happen to Trump it will be like the prosecution of Bill Clinton for tax offences and obstruction of justice. Although unlike Clinton there is no proof of either so far.

Aside from your dislike of Trump what do you base that on? All Clinton got was fines and banning him from practicing law?

Mostly I base this on pending charges floating in SDNY and obstruction of justice indications being ignored or tabled by the current DOJ and AG. I also tend to review the history of Donald Trump as far as legality in business which makes these issues quite likely. I certainly dislike Trump as I would anyone who cheats people and plays a Mob Boss mentality on my country.

Uh...there aren't any premiums with single payer. If you're talking about taxes they can be taken from excises on the very wealthy.

But hey, go ahead, vote to bankrupt yourself in order to give more money to people making over 50 million. Most people with common sense aren't going to agree with you. I only wish there were some way we could put you doofuses on your own island where you could give everything but a bare pittance to a few very, very rich people while you starve to fracking death like you all seem to want to.

What charges? I saw no charges in the Mueller report and apparently congress didn't either or they would be pressing them

The "very rich" don't owe me a thing. There are premiums regardless of who is paying them. I'd prefer to pay may own.

Then congress should bring it on. Put up or shut up. If they feel he committed obstruction of justice they should present their case to the American people and show us what they've got. Obviously they feel they would be embarrassed by what they are attempting to call obstruction or they would do just that.

You already said that it was the crime of obstruction...didn't know I had to repeat it.

I said show me the specific crime of corruption and you have failed to do so. Once again what exactly did Trump do to obstruct justice that you consider an impeachable offense. Fire somebody? Call the investigation a witch hunt? What exactly?

Completely misrepresenting the report isn't just semantics. It is typical Trumpian disregard for reality.

There are a wide range of reasons to open an impeachment investigation. From obstruction to violation of the emoluments clause to violating campaign finance laws. I am well aware that you will not agree with any, so my listing them is a waste of my time. No - I'm not running away from my stance, I just see no need to rehash what has been discussed over and over.

Not at all. They are aware that the Senate is about as firmly in Trump's pocket as I can recall any Senate being in any President's baleful thrall in history. They know they have no chance whatsoever of bringing Trump to justice if they try to do so now no matter how good a case they may have. Indeed, it will probably just contribute to Trump's possible re-election among low-info independents who are susceptible to Trump's inevitable cries of fake news and witch hunt if he is acquitted by these traitorous toadies. Under these circumstances it is blatantly ingenuous for Republicans to call for his impeachment and should be seen as just one more indication of how dishonest and vicious the present day Republican Party has become.

Specific examples of what exactly constitutes obstruction or any other charge against Trump are never explained by you or anybody on your side. All we get are these blanket statements. Obviously you have nothing you can point a finger at and say there it is. That's what Trump did that he should be impeached for.

Well, the SDNY has already ordered Trump to disband his charity whilst it considers charges
