I think the Democratic primary comes down to three candidates. Biden, Warren, and Sanders. Biden is the candidate who won't reverse Trump's policies. Warren is the free stuff candidate. Sanders is just there for show and isn't expected to win. For all of the rest of the Democratic candidates, the Democratic agenda is to ween down the democratic base off of the platforms of the other presidential candidates. I personally support Yang but he's a long shot. I hear the leadership of the Democratic party is going to choose my candidate for me. My guess is one of the big three: Biden, Warren, and Sanders.
Considering that Harris had a pretty good night this week in the debates, I'm surprised you hold Sanders over her.
Well in the Democratic polls I got, via email, they only list the names of Biden, Warren, and Sanders as their own questions. Of course, I could still say which candidate I liked the best as my first and second choice, and/or the unsure option. So, I conclude there is Democratic party leadership bias, towards the three I mention, in the polls they send.
Ah, so this is based on some DNC direct polling (slash fundraising)? In that case, I'm really surprised that Sanders is on there at all.
If I had $100 I'd bet Biden will end up the Democratic nominee. He seems to be the one the media is pushing for. At this point he looks like the shoe-in.
In the beginning of this campaign cycle, I really thought Bernie would be the nominee, now I don't think so, and I have my doubts. He doesn't articulate his lefty plans well on stage, he just always says 'the top 1%, billyanaerz, greed' and I think people will get turned off from this eventually.
MSNBC was definitely on the Biden train pre-debate, but now it looks like Harris is winning them over.
Odds of Trump winning the next election look like 70% at this point. That's not so much affected by which of the 3 candidates gets the Democratic nomination (they all have particular pros and cons, and would appeal to particular segments of the population).
I think Booker, Harris and Ryan might make a move upward from the rest of the pack as well as the above, but both Biden and Sanders will begin to drop little by little.
I will vote for any Democrat who wins the nomination, but for now, I prefer Harris & Warren--about equally.
I have less to fear from the democratic leadership than I do from the mainstream media. I was disgusted that Warren was given so much time. These are not really debates but a chance for lesser known candidates to introduce themselves to the nation. I was so pissed that the first question to Tulis was regarding equal pay/equal work! Trump is for equal pay equal work. I am so happy that she said f- that I went on her own tangent.
I don't know, Biden and Sanders did not come off well in the debate. They both come off as old men with tired old cliche's and platitudes with totally unworkable out of step proposals. I can see them slowly trickling down as more reasonable candidates move up the scale. The MAIN problem is the healthcare for illegal aliens everyone raise their hands. The Republicans are going to be running that over and over and over and over.
You aren't equal? How are people not equal. The Constitution does not mention a right to be economically or socially or anything equal to someone else except under the law. Who is not equal under the law here?
Polls are all over the place after the debate. Polling is just getting so garbled it's hard to know which one to believe anymore. Compare these two topping the RCP polls Biden 30, Sanders 19, Harris 13, Warren 12, Buttigieg 4, O'Rourke 2, Booker 1, Castro 3, Gabbard 1, Yang 0, Klobuchar 2, Bennet 1, Gillibrand 0 Biden 23, Sanders 9, Harris 15, Warren 19, Buttigieg 8, O'Rourke 2, Booker 2, Castro 1, Gabbard 1, Yang 1, Klobuchar 0, Bennet 1, Gillibrand 1
Oh yes she definitely got a boost but still the polls are all over the place. Will be interesting in about a week to see the residual effects. And Biden seems to be REAL quiet that can't be helping him.
Good point but he can't remain silent and out of the public eye especially with his pile of chips getting smaller.
The democrats are trying to push out Biden and Bernie to have Harris and Warren at the top of the primary. For democrats, having a first is very important.
And then this poll "The latest Quinnipiac University poll of Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters showed Biden with 22 percent support and Harris with 20 percent — a double-digit jump for her since the university's previous poll last month." https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/20...l-tie-democratic-nomination-new-poll-n1025656 As I said may need a week for things to settle down again.
Nah. Biden, Warren, and Harris are the Last 3. Bernie is done. his support will gravitate to Warren. 3-Person Race. Biden/Harris/Liz.
I would suggest that any group in America that comprises about 18-20 percent of our total population, but accounts for about 3/4ths of our total prison population, is being treated in a way that fails to represent equality under the law. Blacks fit that description.
