You sit there pontificating that previous administrations dropped the ball.

It's your job to support that argument; it's not my job to do your research for you.

So, hop to and make an informed comment. You can do it.

Why? What would you have done---tell the world how you "fell in love" with KIm and go to photo ops with him?

You've made a lot of assumptions and posted a number of comments suggesting that you know what Obama, Bush 1 and 2, etc. should have done. but haven't shared this sage information with us.

    Do it.

I think that we are going to see a major attack by ISIS....and as in the 4th is only a couple of days...and the timing of their threats suggest to me...we are the ones that may get hit.

Pences press secretary when asked what all of this is about (everyone is ok by the way)..."you will know in 2 weeks".

Could be Iran enriching uranium as well.

They were far too passive...pressure should have been brought to bear on China to prevent N. Korea going nuclear....look it is still far from clear whether Kim is a stable person....can you not understand the danger associated with a rogue regime like N.Korea?

Lol and you think the brightest minds in DC havent gotten advice from 'top security experts?'

Afraid you have a very naive view of how decisions are made at the top. No doubt because you eat up all the anti Trump crap youre being fed.

Oh BTW what were you doing during the Vietnam war or any of our wars since...you disparage Trump for a medical deferment....but did you serve yourself?

It appears you think you are some kind of prophet...have you ever been right about anything?

Now to get down to brass tacks...Trump has made a very wise decision...to do his best to try and negotiate a deal with N.Korea....if he fails he fails....but he has not failed yet...though your friends in the alphabet media are doing their best to sabotage his efforts.

They had a consistent policy of ....see no evil, hear no evil and kick the can down the road ....as in let the next president deal with N. Korea too big of a problem for us...all this whilst N. Korea was feverishly developing nukes....it would have been much easier for earlier Presidents to solve that problem...which began when Truman refused to do what was required to win the Korean War.

Pretty much EVERY person in the Border Patrol including President Obama's Border Patrol Chief is on the record that a wall is necessary so that they can do their jobs of controlling the situation. It is not the only thing necessary, and a wall isn't intended to be a final solution for the problem. But without it, they cannot control the hordes of people who intend to thumb their noses at our laws and come knowing once they get here, they have an excellent chance to stay here.

Such hypocrites are those who refuse to provide funding for the wall or any other law enforcement measures and then accuse the President of terrible crimes because those hordes aren't provided 5-star hotel accommodations and get the red carpet treatment.

Liberals no matter where you encounter them all seem to have come out of the same mold....where do they get their indoctrination....let me guess the public schools, the world of entertainment and of course from watching fake news.

Funny about Obama....what a absolute phoney he was.

Of course I understand the threat. But sitting there pretending that "being aggressive" and not providing any other logical solution means that you have no idea what would've prevented them from acquiring nukes.

So, do you have any other ideas beyond what you've posted? It's not exactly a road map to a solution.

Maybe Trump can have a peace summit with ISIS and ask them nicely to pretty please not attack us on 4th of July. After all, talking to evil dictators and terrorists is the best course of action for our POTUS.

    Why was he a "phony"?

    Specifics, please.

While you're at it, make a concrete suggestion about how he and past presidents could've prevented North Korea from developing nukes.

He should talk about how he and ISIS "fell in love" and have photo ops with them. That'll teach them a lesson that they won't soon forget!

How about a source for this claim?

I've read your posts on the issue, and you've offered less than nothing on this issue; I'm far from convinced that your unsupported musings mean anything, so cite to a credible source, please.

Exactly. That was a terrible idea, and now we're seeing why.

The ironic part of his behavior with Iran is that we had an agreement in place to make sure that they wouldn't develop nuclear weapons, and pulled us out if it. He's been trying ineffectually to get a portion of the same kind of agreement with North Korea, failed miserably at it, and is openly begging for a Nobel Peace Prize for that failure, which has consisted of love letters and photo ops.

    He's incompetent.

You should read your posts a couple of times before you post them...too much incoherent stuff in there.

    How am I being aggressive?

Anyhow....Trump is our President and he is working on finding a solution...he deserves our support in his effort....especially that of the media and if they are unwilling to support his efforts....they should at least refrain from trying to sabotage them.

Past Presidents beginning with Truman allowed this problem of N. Korea to fester because they lacked the conviction to solve the problem of N. Korea.

Truman was so scared of Russia and their intervention which contributed mightily to his mistakes...allowing Chinese troops to have a safe haven across the border in China aka....refusing to let our Air Force to operate over China

Eisenhower did not grasp the problem N. Korea would pose to us in the future...I am sure he had no inkling that N. Korea could ever possibly develop nuclear weapons. Thus all wanted to do was the stop the fighting and ignore N.Korea...no idea at all how his actions would contribute to the devlopment of a rogue state that is now a major threat.

I will talk about the failures of those he came after him later...this is getting too long.

We had nothing....Obama gave Iran billions and billions of dollars and got nothing except the worst deal in history.

I didn't state that you were being aggressive; I stated that you believe that a less passive approach (what ever that means) would've prevented NK from developing nukes.

Here's a pretty decent timeline, and it looks like the vast bulk of their progress occurred under Dubya, not Obama:
