I thought we had this discussion previously - as in the discussion of the details of who was being armed and what these folks were doing in Syria = raping, murdering and killing Christians and other religious minorities - so there is no ability of those who armed the nut jobs to claim they did not know who it was they were arming.

The Islamist insurgents were doing this stuff in early 2011 prior to armed insurrection beginning.
Christian communities across Syria have been attacked by anti-government protesters in recent weeks.

In the beginning there were peaceful anti Gov't protests in Syria being conducted by moderates. The Islamist's then quickly too over and were telling Christians to either join the protests or leave the country.

Christians Under Attack From Anti-Government Protesters in Syria
    https://www.christianpost.com/news/...om-anti-government-protestors-in-syria-50104/

This above from May 2011 - armed insurgency broke out later in the year - and these were the people that we armed. As things progressed it didn't get any better - it turned into a horror show - yet we still kept on sending tens of thousands of tons of sophisticated military equipment to these extremist Islamist nut jobs.

Virginia Senator Thanks Syrian President Bashar Al Assad for Saving the Lives of Christians

And it continues but you get the picture - or at least I hope so. This Senator - like Tulsi Gabbard - actually went to Syria - unlike the armchair bureaucrats that are spinning the false narratives and propaganda aided and abetted by the MSM.

You did not include ignorant and poorly informed vs those who are well informed in the ways of science. Absolutely anyone who doesn’t use science as a primary decision making factor in governance is ignorant and poorly informed.

As long as they follow a person who thinks he’s smarter then every university in the world, every major research facility, and the entire collective decisions of the free world, thinking that Trump and his followers are a bastion of intelligence is laughable.

His objectives are the same as they’ve always been, money and self aggrandizement.

Sigh. Supremely ignorant leftist opinions are so bereft of how our highest office works...I speak truth on my wife's life when I say that once President you really have very little freedom..there are mechanisms, processes, policies, both long and short term you are utterly bereft of any personal effect upon outside of presidential orders...The tsunami that is our countries folly in foreign and domestic policy goes back 50 years at least. No one person can effect it only Congress could. A homeless vagrant with the IQ of an average chimp could do the job

And I see no come to jesus in sight

You still haven't stated whether you think it was intentional harm by the CIA and if so, what their motivation was.

Aside your ridiculous swipe at Obama for allegedly being a Muslim ... Donald Dumb and better than any previous US President is simply a matter of impossibility. Even the corrupt witch Hillary would have done the job in the White House much better than he has done so far.

Ah, defenders of a religious tyranny, whose goal is the annihilation of all that isn’t Islamic through the use of nuclear weapons. What’s that Lennon line? How do you sleep at night? Seems appropriate here, somehow.

You obviously don't know much about Australia and its politics. Yes....we have had a "Republican" Government of six years just re-elected for another term. But......'Republicans' are not of a majority. Yes.....that 'Republican' Government has decreed that any person, refugee or not, who tries to come to Australia using what are referred to as 'people smugglers' will never be allowed in.

A "legal framework" which includes Section 18c of the 1975 Racial Discrimination Act which outlaws certain racially offensive speech. So, do you still think that we have a legal framework that results in free speech?

That doesn't mean that we can express whatever personal opinions we want without potential legal action against us.

Are you on drugs ? I have stated that it was intentional at least 5 times to you. I have given you links detailing what was shipped (tens of thousands of tons of sophisticated military technology) - where the stuff came from (Bulgaria, Libya, Saudi Arabia, USA and others) - and who it was given to via the CIA (Al Qaeda, the Islamist Jihadists that went on to form the modern incarnation of ISIS).

I have given you numerous other links where congressman on both sides of the fence are backing up the above. Declassified Defense Intelligence agency reports - one from 2012 stating there was no moderates right from the beginning - and we were still supporting the Jihadists. Joe Biden even contradicts Obama's "moderate rebel lie" You are a strange one. You keep asking questions that have been answered numerous times .. over and over like you are going to get a different answer the sixth time.

What difference does it make what their motivation was ? I can give you a few possibilities but this is speculation. What is not speculation is that it was intentional. What is normally the motivation for US foreign policy is money - helping out the international financiers at the top of the Establishment food chain - doing their bidding.

We know that a few years prior to the war Assad did not allow a pipeline to go through Syria - This project was a US- Israeli project. The point of the action was then to destabilize Syria so no one cold build it. The same narrative is could well be why we are still in Afghanistan - doing who knows what for 18 years - getting nowhere but - still there. Afghanistan is a one of the major possibilities for an energy corridor into the "new silk road" - China and India - and being able to build a Pipelines through this region to serve that energy hungry market would generate large profits. Again you have competing interests - US/West and others vs Russia.

It makes no sense what we did in Syria - the Assad is a bad guy narrative was complete nonsense. What leader isn't a "bad guy" in the middle East - The Saudi's are way worse than El Saud and we love El Saud - along with numerous other Gulf nations.

I didn't ask if you think it was intentional, I asked if you think it was intention HARM. As in, the CIA knowingly acted in a way which they knew would be harmful and which would create more terrorist activity etc. This would basically be saying that the CIA acted against the interests of the USA. So, any clarity on this?

Oh. My Mistake. You do believe Iran is a tyranny. Ok. And has no right to existence, anymore than say Ted Bundy. Good.

I remember arguing with clinton supporters and other pacifists in the mid 90s.

Clinton through jimmy carter had just struck a deal with north korea that avoided a military showdown over nukes

I argued then that they were just putting a Bandaid on a cancer but no one listened

Now you come along and gleefully inform us that kim has nukes and there ainst **** I or anyone else can do about it

And I am still aopalled by how much the left hate America

Not necessarily so (and I am jumping in not having read the lead up to this) You would need to know what the US's real intentions were.
For instance in the Afghan/Russia/US war they were supposed to be wanting the Afghan's to get a conclusion the Afghan's wanted. However they stopped funding and training democratic Afghans and turned their money and expertise on the fanatics often let out of Arab jails, despite being told again and again by the Democratic Afghans what they were like and being asked to stop doing it. Eventually it was concluded that the CIA knew full well what the people they were funding were like. They preferred them to the democratic afghans because being fanatics they would continue fighting even after a truce was possible. That would mean that the US would not accomplish its real goal which was making the USSR bankrupt through the war in Afghanistan.

There are other examples. The reason a country gives for doing something is frequently not the real interest.

The entire discussion is mute. NK is a puppet of China. Whether it has a credible nuke deterrent or not, is entirely in the hands of China. All it takes is moving a few key bases to the border of NK, which it has, and they are a credible nuke power. It’s a joke, and a side light. They have always had this umbrella....
