When will religion be overteken by logic?

Why would he let people to suffer and die if he have power to do otherwise?

 

So denying religion is denying human nature? I'm very spiritual. I believe all beings are connected and I treat them with respect. I don't need to worship an invisible man in the sky to know right from wrong. I do unto others as I would want done to me. I was raised like that and religion had nothing to do with it.

 

I can help anyone interested in knowing the truth. There aren't too many people around that have had my experience. Appx 10 years ago I was involved in a very serious motorcycle accident. Only because I was a MSF instructor resulting in my being a safety guru did I survive. I was wearing all the right equipment including a Nolan full face helmet. Before the medical people got me heading in the right direction I was told that I flatlined twice. I can tell you there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

 

And yet they are told everyday that it is an abomination and a sin worthy of hell. For what reason?

 

Exactly. If there is an all-powerful God then that God has a very sick sense of humor.

DMT rushes your brain before death. When people get close to death and come back sometimes they get a rush of DMT and hallucinate, hence the light at the end of the tunnel and many other crazy stories.

 

The church does not explain that in such a manner. They aren't about science. Didn't the church propagate fake news that the earth is flat and anyone that say otherwise is a heathen.

 

I only wish atheists did that. Instead they make thousands of posts on religion forums. My wife doesn't like football, but she doesn't make thousands of posts on NFL forums telling people how stupid and dangerous it is. Atheists are obsesses with Christianity because of what Jesus said, "I will draw all men unto myself".

6 ribs and clavicle fractured. The bad one was a subdural hematoma which resulted in my having two holes drilled in my skull along with the accompanying bumps and bruises. Something I hadn't heard before was the term; 'a person's body can just shut down' which happened to me. I joke that because of the Nolan I'm still as pretty as I was before the accident. Today all is well.

Well the Nolan did allow the head injury. I suppose nothing could have helped such a sudden stop. I've crashed and broken my clavicle, clean snap. One of the most painful injuries I have ever had.

No I don't. I wish I had kept it or at least photographed it. And yes, it did allow the head injury but I have no doubt I would have been dead without it.

So prison and penalty is what? That would make written laws and constitution the Atheist Mans Bible? Law of God or Law of Men, one threatens of hell afterlife the other threatens hell during aliveness. If judged a sinner, both result in a place of suffering, only one IS absolute whereas the other is a mystery

What is important is taking care or yourself and your family- First. If you do that, you will have things done the way you want, and not be a burden on others. If we all do that- the number of people "in need" would drop precipitously.

It's one thing to help someone in true need, who would do for themselves if they could- and another to help someone "in need" because they won' do for themselves, or won't try hard. In fact, helping those who won't makes them dependent on others- and kills ambition, motivation and self-respect. What's more your help will not usually be seen as what they need, and as not enough of it. And since you will be seen as the person who has come forward to meet their needs, you will be seen as bringing too little and arrive late- like a deadbeat debtor.

Right now, 10% of our taxpayers are contributing 70% of the taxes- and they are hated for making money and hated for not paying even more. Real gratitude from those who contribute nothing.
I don't care to create any more of those people- the ones with their hand-out. I'm all for helping those who need a hand-up, who will return to productivity and contribution as soon as they can. Big difference in the two.

And who is to be the judge? Should we search out studies and statistics or just trust a biased partisan "fake news" center?

And you would be the judge of all that?

And to the extent that is true, it's the fault of income disparity. Think how different it would be if most people made enough income to qualify them for payment of some taxes.
