My what an interesting philosophy. Obviously the work of the devil incarnate.

Do you have a link to which organization this is from? Interesting stuff. Sometimes Satanists drift into Ayn Rand on steroids, but I like this.

I mean, any system sounds good if you let the write their own good points down. I imagine a Christian, Muslim, Mormon, or any other group of people wrote something similar, it would sound roughly as appealing.

Quite right. It is more telling of the 'religion' to see how closely the followers adhere to their philosophy. I have never encountered or had a discussion with a member of a satanic church, so I can't speak to it. But I can certainly speak to the great number of Christians I have known who do not follow the teachings of their religion.

    Indeed it is...
...as no one knows what that means absent the Light Who is satan's worst enemy.

These are the equivalent of the ten commandments for the Satanic Church, and I sure as hell wouldn't consider the commandments remotely as "appealing" as this manifesto.

Seems the Satanic Church ISNT what most think it is. How typical.

Nobody knows how to be excellent to others without the "Light"? That is tragic news for humanity and those suffering from such a deficiency of self.

    Well duh.
Only for that portion of humanity which is content to live in darkness.

It is a human tragedy that you and so many others think that without God we wouldn't know how to peacefully and productively co-exist.

OTOH, I am ecstatic that those who share your faith, depend on it to peacefully and productively co-exist, because the rest of us would be hard pressed to tolerate them"unchained" from their fear of god. Good thing their god prevents them from indulging in translating their sinful thoughts into actions. (as a general rule that is).

As a Christian, I've never had a beef with the Satanic Church (or the Church of Satan, as it were). I see them primarily as a group of well-intentioned eccentrics so 'turned off' by the hypocrasy and autocratic doctrine of establishment Christianity that they seek to rebel against it by 'worshipping' (floabt) its antithesis even while adhering to Christianitys foundational moral/ethical principles. They arent really worshippers of evil imo, but folks who like to troll fake christians by dressing wierd and pretending to cast spells while generally being decent folk. They reject establishment christianity's rejection of 'worldly' or 'material' things, and logically, I see their point. My own philosophy- that God created this world for us, lends me to a certain agreement with their view that it doesnt make a lot of sense to deprive ourselves of that which God gave us.

Luciferians however, are another thing entirely. They actually engage in and actively promote what we classically consider 'evil' or 'satanic'. Counterintuitively, Luciferianism is far more what people think of when they use the term 'satanic' than 'Satanists' tend to be. Which makes perfect sense if you actually research what 'Lucifer/Satan/'The Devil' is supposed to be.

Actually the tragedy is that anyone ever got suckered into thinking otherwise.
Yeah, I'll bet you're thanking your lucky stars that all those atheists were around circa 1790 to make sure the religious test clause and 1A got ratified.
    lol

No, but I don't think we're comparing like for like. I think these were written, in part, with the aim of being appealing, something I don't think was the case of the ten commandments in the same way.

For instance, the ten commandments say to not have other gods than God. If this was a like for like comparison, I would expect the picture here to detail something about the relationship between Satanism and Satan (that's not to say that I'm expecting any particular answer to that question, I'm just saying the ten commandments tackle that uncomfortable issue head on). I think if Christians were to put together an "answer" to this, they'd be much more likely to go to "For God so loved the earth..." or some of Jesus' sayings.

You're certainly right that people who hold moral views but who fail to live up to them aren't doing anyone any favours. I think there are additional issues. You want your ideas to be moral, accurate and well followed (and I'm sure, other things).

I have met some Satanists, of various kinds, and my fair share of Christians. I think a difference between most Satanists and most Christians is that most Satanists wouldn't have become Satanists if some of the ideas behind them didn't already resonate with them. I think Satanists follow their tenets very well, not because they are particularly good tenets, or that the people are particularly good Satanists, but because those people who might stray from the tenets don't stay Satanists.

That's why I think the comparison is a bit unfair (even though it highlights other issues).

As another poster pointed out - the Church of Satan isn't about devil worship. Luciferians are devil worshippers.

This organization deliberately chose the name but I guess it was a tad to subtle for most christians to understand the back handed jab.

You seem to have missed my point. My point is that the points in the picture are not comparable to the ten commandments. The Satan/Satanism thing is just an example, it is not in itself my point.

These are good rules. Better than the 10 commandments of Christianity.
    Hail Satan!

Why aren't they comparable? It seem to be a list of their central tenets.

Isn't that exactly what the 10 commandments are?

    Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is kind of impressive isn't it!!!!!!!

Could the ultimate Satan / The Devil / the Accuser of the Brethren.......
be acting much like Stanley Milgram Ph. D?????????

Could it be that he actually still admires the Ancient of Days the FAther.... and the Ancient of Days the Mother / The Comforter / The Holy Spirit / Holy Ghost........
and even his rival Messiah Yeshua - Jesus - Issa??????????

Could it be that he actually holds his most obsequious followers in extreme contempt......... much as Stanley Milgram Ph. D. held the most overly obedient of Americans in similar regard to what he thought of Claus Barbie, Heinrich Himmler, Adolf Eichmann............. and so many others???????

    Dennis,

Despite the name, the Church of Satan doesn't worship the devil. The name was deliberately selected.

    Luciferians worship the devil.

I honestly don't think I fully understand the difference between the two terms.........
but would I be correct to assume that if the claims made by a Mr. John Ramirez are as true as he could
humanly recollect his "experiences" then...... would it be correct to say that Mr. Ramirez would be
"Luciferian" previous to his conversion to the worship of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus - Issa/ Moshiach the Passover Lamb?

    The Ultimate Redemption Story

    https://johnramirez.org/media/videos

To the best of my understanding..... of what I volunteered for back in 1990.....
I will legally have thirty years in on Yom Kippur 2021.......
and Mr. John Ramirez would certainly be somebody who has been set up to perhaps replace me......
as the "goat for Azazel" for after that day???????

For the record... a significant percentage of people in the Church of Satan.....
may actually have .... like Mr. John Ramirez have met with the "Spirit Guide" who
may well be a demon / fallen angel.. .but.......
they were told to claim to be Atheists.... .and they obey what they were told... due to considerable fear to do otherwise.

    Dennis,

perhaps this will clear up your confusion between Satanists and Luciferians.

That is helpful.... yes.. .thank you.........

I myself feel that full fledged Satanists or Luciferians have a choice ahead of them.......
I believe that the following principle is essentially an ABSOLUTE........

47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little."

If a Satanist or Luciferian is tired of the left hand path......
and would wish to go back to be with Messiah Yeshua - Jesus - Issa / Messiah the Passover Lamb as
    Mr. John Ramirez has done........
then they could almost immediately become Christian / Jewish / Messianic Jewish or Messianic Gentile
    Warriors of the Rainbow........

if they would like to pray and duplicate my offer that I made back in 1990.......

The whole thing worked out so much better than I imagined at that time that I am here twenty nine years later in a sense of AWE and wonder!!!!

(The only way that I know much about is that of a "goat for Azazel"... whatever that means...........)...... which I suppose may have something to do with going after a Mantle of Cyrus?????

I don't think they are in the say way. The ten commandments are phrased more as a legal system. The ten commandments lists bad things like murder and stealing, whereas the quote in the picture here gives more of a general hint. I'd guess the Christian equivalent of "strive to act with compassion" is "do unto others...".

I think most of the ten commandments are not central tenets, as much as derived specifics. They are beginnings of a legal system, practical interpretations of morality.
